I'm glad my images came in handy 😁😄 Appreciate the love my man. 🙏 I'm with you dude. The new one is a total upgrade. Love the old one, but this is a new era for Hot Toys. Fabric on the new one seems more like a linen look. Definitely different than the older one. The eyes are absolutely far superior to the old one also. Excellent comparisons. Especially the one where you have the CW Ahsoka in it too compared to the new ones. Outstanding! 💯🤘🤘

Yes thanks for the post, it illustrated the case perfectly as to why this expression plus lightsaber works! Just noticed it cut your name off the post of images, apologies for that it wasn't intentional! Totally agree it's definitely like Hot Toys have entered a new era and levelled up again! Was a day one PO for me. But I am the only one that thinks that he looks a little bit too old? I know he looked like that in the show but for me he is more like a force ghost/world between worlds Anakin rather than a CW Anakin.

It’s a great sculpt. It looks like Hayden with the de-aging, and if you want something representative of the Ahsoka show, this is the figure you want.

Seeing them next to each other, the new portrait is so much better!! Still have doubts on the expression but he look amazing. The poses you did weren’t bad at all.. just had to lower the camera angle like the blogger photos and they would look the same 😊 Great review

This new head is spot on to his appearance in the episode, he’s trying to teach Ahsoka how to be a leader so his gaze is of concern and love for his Padawan he was always worried for her on every mission and in my mind he loved her as a daughter always watching after her and when a dangerous mission came along he tried to find a way to leave her behind cuz he knew it was to dangerous but she always found a way to sneak in. That’s why he has that expression on the episode and that’s fine with me cuz the other head sculpts are from the animated series and they need updating.

This figure is such an upgrade , headsculpt is so life like and the clothing colour so vibrant, I am glad you referenced source material where Hayden is slightly smiling like this. Love the innovation of deflection sparks on the LS , how clever is that❤. A really worthwhile purchase I think , thanks so much for sharing your thoughts👍. I hope those bits look good because it's a great idea and I would love to pose some older figures with them. Such a shame windu won't have those, that would be amazing!!

Great comparison. I prefer the new version. When you compare, the old one looks around 75% like Hayden while the new one is around 95% like him.

Pre-ordered it the minute it became available. 😁 But I can see where a lot of people who got the previous Clone Wars version would skip on this Dreamy-Eyed Anakin (as Jedha Patrol called him 😂). I think the expression on the new one is good for sparing with Ahsoka or for relaxed poses, but not so much for battle poses...in my magnanimously humble opinion. 👍👍👍👍

Thank you for this comparison as I’m in between the new one and old version. I want something that’s gonna look good on my shelf because I have the revenge of it and him and the attack of clones Anakin on the way.. but I have padme too I just want something that’s gonna look good with all of them.

Thanks for watching! That AOTC Anakin looks like it will be amazing!! When you get that one you may not feel you need a Clone Wars version as well. Although if you’re getting / have an Ahsoka figure you may want to display this new CW Anakin with her and keep AOTC Anakin with Padme. Or mix and match 😃 Let me know what you decide! 👊🏻

I have the current version and I prefer it as he has a more serious expression for “aggressive negotiation “ poses. The new one is on point as to how he appears in the Ahsoka show but probably only suitable for static poses. They are both amazing figures but I’ll be giving the new one a miss. Not for me but it will appeal to a lot of folks for its accuracy.

Could do! Will definitely try it. It may come with a different connector though, also depends on how the rolling eye system is accessed potentially (although I’m guessing that will just be via the back of the head with a removable hair piece). Thanks for watching 👊🏻

I definitely class myself as a regular everyday collector and not a KZbinr tbh! 😅 You may be surprised, a lot of my collector friends are definitely happy with this sculpt - I think mainly because it captures a different side to Anakin, especially if you already have one of the previous Anakin figures. The head sculpt of the new Anakin is great but the expression is really bad, what I see is a friendly gay and I will prefer an IN FOCUS or concentration in a fight.
