If I live to be as old as Jorma it will be a blessing. If I can still play my axe at that age it will be a miracle.

It’s the acoustic sets that really show the tremendous talent of this great duo, imho. This tune just sounds a bit garage-bandy.

so as I wrote in an other you tube chat of jorma and jack lovers, hot tuna have been one of the wonderful sound track in my life. anyway, when I see these two old men (I am 64) to play in a live contest ... not so sure on their legs, stopped in their side, or moving so slowly, I am not sure that's a good way to leave the rock scene. then, when I listen their as usally way to play, when I look at jack wich wait for a jorma's signal like he did on '70, when I close my eyes, my armchair becomes again my first ford car ... and fuck the age, fuck sickness and pain. an other short chapter of all hot tuna guys life soundtrack! Have a good evening my so dear "kaukonian" unknown friends.😝😝😝🍻🍻🍻🎼🎸🎸🎸

Sorry to hear you have sickness and pain. Glad to hear something still brings you joy. I'm 64, sometimes I feel old too - but never when I'm listening to great music. Though Jerry is my favorite.

@@firstlast4874 Ha ha. I am glad I caught electric Hot Tuna in 74-76. they were awesome. America's Choice is one of my favorites of all time. Still play it in my truck. at FULL VOLUME as recommended. ha ha

There are a few chapters to Tuna. I love all of them but to me the later rampage super electric lps were the best of the best. Especially to see performed live. The years of America's Choice, Phosphorescent Rat, Yellow Fever, and Hopkorv were ear bleeding ecstacy. Don't get me wrong the first lp, then First Pull Up Then Pull Down, and of course Burgers were remarkable. However if you wanted to drop a blotter or tab you wanted the other more electric lps firing new neuronal pathways in your dome. I had a High School Tuna buddy who worked for the NYC Sanitation dept on a street sweeper broom vehicle. They are loud. Eventually they got sound systems and speakers to play prerecorded messages to move parked cars, avoid fines, and have the sweeper truck well sweep the street. My friend used to blast these later very electric Tuna tracks thru this PA system. Well till the twerp patrol Karen's put a stop to it before there were Karens as a term..

Don't get me wrong, I love H.T. and Jorma Kaukonen in particular BUT when I see old things, looking like they escaped from a retirement home, dragging themselves on a stage, I can't help but ask myself: is this really the Rock'n Roll I had in mind, when them and I were teenagers? I felt the same while watching The Stones touring recently. A feeling of sadness and unease. I appreciate an artist still recording and working in studio while he's still able to do it and these two can undoubtly but please, leave the stage to the younger or those who play classical music instead. The spirit of R"nR is one thing but a R"nR attitude is something else, please do not confuse the two. It's a question of personal pride, dignity and respect towards the audience. My 2 cents!
