hi there, thanks for your video, I have always made cold process I have found in NZ with the cold weather in winter the bars can sweat, I am guessing because this is like a salt and salts gets wet when exposed to the air in colder temps, does hot process do the same at all? Just looking at whether to switch over and give the hot a go due to this fact mainly? thanks so much again x

I think you would have a similar problem tbh, it still has the same make up. Lots of people ovrt here use dehumidifiers if they make a lot. Is that an option for you at all?

Each time I’ve tried HP my bars are spongy 😕 Great video! 👍👍

Thank you. I can't explain the spongy soap sadly 😬 Not something I have experienced 🧐

I'd love to try hot process with my oat milk, honey and beeswax soap but I know it can be a bit of a monster with CP so I'm worried about trying it with HP. Would you say it's not a good one to attempt? Thank you very much.

I would avoid HP for anything with milk as it will most likely end up scorching. You could freeze the milk to mix your lye and then very carefully cook it but it probably isn't worth the effort if I am honest. 🤔

@@thesoapcoach. Would it be possible to add milk once the HP soap is cooled?
@thesoapcoach.5 күн бұрын
@@Gabrielle937 unfortunately not, it sets up really quickly after making it and you need to get it in the mould whilst still very hot. You might be able to add a little but not very much as you need that liquid in it whilst cooking

Sorry, you don't like my videos but I answer a lot of FAQs I get asked. Lots of other channels out there doing the other stuff 😉
