I absolutely love it when you do some of these press fit aka (snap together) because it is a great change of pace, it gives some of the newer or brand new modelers something thats not intimidating and they can ease their way into the hobby. The more people young and old we introduce to modeling the better because the more demand for models the more companies will invest into newer and better kits. It's a win win for everyone, Plus these new snap together are absolutely beautiful. WE ALL WIN

Great build, sharp looking Chevy Camaro, I have a model of a 2010 Dodge Challenger. R/T Classic that I bought on sale at hobby lobby three years ago, it's also one of the promo press fit models made by Amt😊❤👍

The new generation of snap together kits is truly impressive. The headliner detail is something I have only seen on Italeri's truck kits, never on a car model. I've seen AMTs Camaro kit around, so I may have to get hold of it now I see how good it is.

Oh my! So much more than Craftsman kits of 'way back when.... Perfect for introducing kiddos to our great hobby! Plus great for adults finding ways to rejoin us with some fun & easy builds to get started --- or as perfect slump-buster! BRAVO! +++ your effective tips and techniques always are helpful and encouraging for gaining confidence and skills along the way! Thx.

At first I was skeptic about you using the Future floor polish and not painting the car body. Needless to say, I watched the whole video me being curious if you can pull it off. And dude, you blew my mind away. What you presented is a fun build with fantastic result. I was on a hiatus from building model kits but this one reminded me that building model kits was for us to have fun, not tire us out with our super projects. Looking forward to more of this and thanks for providing the link because it got me interested with the model kit alone, not to mention the way you built it.

Great vid! We are working on this kit and struggling with the rear wheels and axel. The axel doesn’t seem long enough to get in both wheels securely. We’ve got the front working great. Any advice?

looks great, worried about fitment of the windshield would you recommended trimming the lower edge to bring it down?
@dc_modelworks3 жыл бұрын
I've built other issues and variations of this kit. I think I just sliced off the locator pins of all the windows before painting the black trim surrounds and that let them fit better.

Hmm. I don't recall AMT doing a snap of the Camaro, so I actually thought before you shown us the kit, that it was the Camaro Concept kit that had been reboxed as a 2010 Camaro. I guess they didn't do it 'cuz it would've been a little bit more complicated for kids to build, but I think they should've, as that kit is actually pretty good. That said, this kit is good as well, and your build is awesome, as always.

@mr.mckinnon56803 жыл бұрын
AMT really did a good job with that kit. That quality is very impressive. Still kind of disappointed, Hot Wheels did another Camaro. Still think, Bone Shaker, or Mod rod, would have been a better choice. Or the iconic, Rodger Dodger. As an amateur hot wheels collector, I'd love to do a kit, in spectraflame. Still got my fingers crossed for that. But I'm not going to lie, that's a pretty impressive kit. I wonder, did they make any of those kits in the Treasure Hunt version? Cuz that would be cool.

Why seperate hood and no engine ?
@garyslentzii27963 жыл бұрын
The Revell Mustang convertable has a separate hood also, you could actually put an engine in if you chopped down the oil pan. It looks really good with the paint job and details you wouldn't know it was a snap kit sitting in the case.
@hpiguy3 жыл бұрын
Press fit kits are usually curbside models, no engine.
@richiesspeedshop823 жыл бұрын
It's a snaptite build . They don't come with engines probably because they want it to be quick and easy builds for beginners or someone just looking to build something different
