The first sixteen Hot Wheels cars, sold for 59 cents each, were introduced into the market in 1968, and they featured redline tires, spectraflame paint, a metal collector button, and some had roofs painted black to look like vinyl.

Never saw these cars less than a dollar a pc. Even when buying them in 1968. The craze hit hard and fast with all the commercials. Retailers sold them from the start for a buck a piece. If you were getting them for 59 cents. You must of been in hickville. Not in any city.

Dang the host literally wouldn’t let anyone talk. Don’t hire this dude again. Completely made it unenjoyable to listen too. Minus the yo dawg how many TVs it got, like woah. I haven't got to the winner yet, but the p1800 gasser has to get the prize. The Superbird was cool, too, and so was the Kiwi Capella, and that full custom, 60s-Indycar-looking rear-engine 2-seater with the polished aluminium body (crazy build, hard to scale all that detail down to a Hotwheels car, tho). But the Volvo gasser was the perfect balance between uniqueness, craziness, and classic Hot-Wheels vibe.

Get Well Soon!!! We Love You! So glad I got to see you in person a few years ago in Johnstown, PA. Only disappointment was that when I tried to get Seats/Tickets I was not familiar with the Ticketmaster System and it timed out on me. I had second row back from Stage Left near the Center Aisle. When I tried to get tickets after timing out, I ended up being over two thirds of the way back of Stage Left! So from being so close to almost needing binoculars. You were still very funny and I got to check seeing you in person off my bucket list. GET WELL SOON IF MAKE A WISH WORKED FOR ADULTS, I’D LOVE TO SEE YOUR CAR COLLECTION! I’m lucky to have been able to get a 2022 Red Mist C8 HTC in February. I’m ill with Pancreatic Cancer and probably won’t live long enough to get a ZO6. Been on Chemo now for 4 years. When I need a laugh I KZbin Headlines! Thanks for all you have done as an Entertainer and for the Automotive Community. I enjoy seeing you get together with Tim Allen on the TV Show and with the cars!

I laugh at the fact Mobil 1 he said can go an extra 5 to 10k because its synthetic. Diesel vs cars cant use it more then 10 k ive heard because can mess it up

Hello matt New haven model RR, You make a very good point. Honestly, Mobil-1 can easily remain stable for 15k in an engine as it was new in the bottle. But the overall engine condition must be in proper working order. The main issue to consider is the oil filter MUST be changed at regular intervals during the accumulating 15k. The recommended filter changes are every accumulated 6,000 miles. Mainly due to 2 factors: The best quality oil filter...WIX-XP...has done all it can do "efficiently" at 6,000 to 8,000 miles. The second factor is the detergent package of Mobil-1 is of such high quality that it will clean an engine shiny; causing debris to fill the filter media. Especially on older, high mileage engines. This can lead to most lesser quality oil filters sending unfiltered oil through the bypass valve that's built into 99% of all engine oil filters. Over time...when the oil filter is repeatedly left unchanged for 15,000 miles...the unfiltered oil being directed through the bypass valve can lead to a variety of internal engine issues. The engine damage is not a result of using Mobil-1 Synthetic Oil. Respectfully, Ben
