Same chassis and window as the Torino Stocker the Monte Carlo is also called "Low Down " the window came in blue and a green, both cars can be found in RedLine blackwall and plain blackwall. Quite a few variations of both the Torino and Monte. As always Keith a great job making this trash a treasure. 👍👍🇺🇸

lowdown is a blue car not a race car totally different version, as are the red and black torino's

I like how it turned out. Other than the rear window not fitting quite well. I think the windshield color works surprisingly well. Don't beat yourself up too bad Keith, the projects you consider not so hot are still better than some other restorers "best work".

Don't lie to us Keith! We know the yellow windows was all planned! They look great there! Always learning with others mistakes. I love how it all came out.

That turned out pretty well Keith.👍👌 It might be fun to do another one, with the same paint and decals, gloss clearcoat to seal the decals, then a coat of *matt* varnish. Could make for an interesting, side-by-side comparison. Just a thought.😁 I'm guessing it's a good thing that we can't hear the dialogue from the demise of that first glazing piece? 😂 At least you had a replacement. Cheers for now, Dougie.

Great work on this Monte Carlo Keith! That replacement windshield kind of works with the paint color, I like it. As for the green, I think it would look wicked over a black primer and maybe with a little metalflake mixed in. Very close to the Bullit color...can't wait to see you do the Bullit mustang! Thanks for sharing, stay safe and keep on keeping on!!

For a car that was a total loss...you brought it back to life.. I can't remember what the name. Of that old military hot wheel was They only made the casting a few times I do remember it was a Plymouth Like the old cop cars. This is what your military car reminded me of ... really great job👍👍

Love the color, I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. I would have preferred a chrome color grill as much of the detail is lost when everything is blacked out. I also am not a fan of the tampos on the car (but that is a personal preference). To me, if you were going to go with a USA/Military themed car I would have gone with an olive drab paint color.

Damn shame about the windshield breaking on you. I hate faded chrome plastic cases. Turned out good 👍🏽
@lotharrenz46214 жыл бұрын
aha, it comes with a... 424 big block? XD interestign looks, great work on everything. :) yeah, if it was sunrays the UV light goes all through the plastic until it becomes brittle. with real cars it doesn't even need that to become brittle... what were the makers thinking? anyway, here's a like. :)
