Looks like a ton of recolors and fantasy castings for 2025, including quite a few fantasy THs and STHs. At this point it feels like Mattel is trying to punk us. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Well... I mean: 2024 wasn't a really good HW-year - but nearly everything I saw so far from 2025 Mainlines ... Pretty bad. I don't get their strategy. Same thing with their "silver line": Some models are metal on metal and look better than "premiums" - and they cost only 4 euros instead of 10 or more. The only thing missing are rubber tires. That makes premiums look like a rip-off.

@ I agree 💯. their strategy seems to be we can do whatever we want and everyone will gobble it up because we’re Mattel. It’s like they don’t realize every monopoly is due to be toppled by competitors who come in and make better products at cheaper or comparable prices and that is exactly what’s happening now. Mattel might alway be at the top of the heap like Anheuser Busch once was wirh beer, but eventually these “microbrew” like diecast makers are going to greatly eat into their profits and force them to change. Hopefully for all us collectors! 🤞🏻 🙏🏻
