Hi from a fan in the UK,,, Luv your restorations,,,very inspiring,,,wish I had some older stateside cars,,Redlines are very rare here,,,so may get normal ones and copy the older models,,,though we have an endless supply of Matchbox,Corgi,Husky,Dinky,,,,,for sure can get Real Riders and put them on my Hotwheels that should get rid of them chip Goose wheels,,,when I worked in an American car spares shop our best sellers were Appliance wheels then May slots,,,my own car was a 1970 GTO Ram air 4 and that had the original Rallye wheels,,,we even had 2 Mopar 440s in the shop never used and those were sold at £1000 each back in 1984,,,,,Thanx for another great vid,,,wishing yourself, family and fellow Subscribers a great weekend,,,,

I love that color. Nice work. Looking at Nomads online (castings, not actual Chevrolets) that roof was more stomped than you might have thought. There was no slope in the roof, on the casting or the real car. Those lines were intended to look like a telescopic roof, BTW. GM never figured out how to do that until the Envoy XUV in the 21st century ... and that was big fail.

adding baking soda to the super glue not only makes it set up in a second, it also adds strength. Tho they use a better grade of glue, they use the same idea to fix dents dings and cracks in the carbon fiber rotor blades on real helicopters. It is a strong repair that way, way stronger than super glue alone. If you get the Super thin glue from Bot Smith industries, it can be used to replace metal pieces, like the things that hold the axels in place, or other parts. When you get small imperfections in the casting surface and are going to paint it, you can use modler's putty, or in this case since you're using what amounts to a candy color, there is a low melting point solder that works for soldering the zinc castings. you can fill with it, then sand and polish it back down smooth.... if you want to go that far. You could also fill the dings with modler's putty, then prime and paint with a bright silver paint, then put the blue over that, or in some cases a brilliant white would give the same effect. If you ever want a darker color than the paint you have, spray it over gray or black, it's the same effect as with real candy colors done on full size cars. You can also put on designs in both white or silver and black, then paint over it with the candy color for a very unique but subtle paint job.
