As a collector,I’d say the Python is ROSE... I hope most other collectors would agree. Also, “ let the buyer beware “ he saw the pictures, and any eBay buyer should ask questions BEFORE the sale...It’s still a great car...and a great video...👍

I picked up that same red custom corvette at a thrift store for a quarter and I couldn't believe my eyes. I just started collecting hot wheels and I never thought I'd find a redline, let alone for that cheap!

Pink purple whatever our opinion the person obviously saw the photos before purchasing so they wait till after receiving the item to complain it’s not pink. You shouldn’t have to get a natural feedback for that. Nice finds.

The official Hot Wheels name for that color is “lavender.” But red line collectors call it creamy pink.

It’s rare because only stores with a big enough order got the display cases. How many store chains in 1968 could you find them in? Might be worth looking up.

cool thing about redlines thers tons of colors they were known to use the paint until it was gone so sometimes you see a blue car to a very light ice blue because the color was fading or thining out

After reading the comments,it could ALSO be “creamy pink” as someone else pointed out. To be sure,I’d have to see it in hand,cause pictures don’t show true hues of color. It’s most definitely creamy pink or rose. Definitely not magenta or hot pink. Still, great car for what sounds like a great price...!!!

That’s what makes selling redlines online so hard - sometimes the colors don’t translate well on the monitor so it makes it hard to know what you’re buying or selling in this case. I’ll definitely explain colors more thoroughly next time.

Need to adjust those profit estimations a bit. You forgot to factor in e(vil)Bay cut and now you have to pay income tax on all eBay transactions. so take at least another 20% off your profits.

To be honest, I’ve never had both in my hand side by side so I was going by what I had in front of me. And the magenta color online definitely looks darker with a plum hue to it. 🤷‍♂️
