Despite Rosenberg hating off and on for 35 minutes, Speedy handled that very well. PRADA YEW, TWINNN! 🎉🕺🏾

All the individuals that Speedy interviews knows he wears a tracksuit BEFORE they agree….its his brand. If he decides he wants to pivot then he will when the time presents itself. Until then, he’ll have that good comf suit on!

A 35 minute interview and Rosenberg spoke for 40. And unprepared because a little research would show that Speedy didn’t wear a tracksuit for his recent BET photoshoot. So yes, he can wear other attire but is building/has built a brand/image for himself. No different from a catchphrase or trademark.

As a person in my 40s, the reason I don't have interns at my company anymore is because the research shows that this only benefits the privileged (relatively). Even with all the hustle, grit, and time put in, Speedy was very privileged in his beginning to be able to attend college while working for free.
@mafe51253 ай бұрын
Precisely this. The supervisor for an internship I had once said to me, “I don’t know what it’s going to take to get more students to take on internships” and when I responded with, “well, some ppl don’t have the luxury of working for little to no pay for the sake of gaining experience. There’s bills to pay and/or families to feed”. He responded with hm, I suppose you’re right. Mind you this guy is a professor. It truly is a privilege to attend college AND work for free at that, especially if you’re a non-traditional student.

Ya dragging Rosenberg wasn’t even hating. You can tell he’s very proud of speedy and respects his hustle he even said he’s known him from the beginning of his career. The end was Rosenberg just trying to give some big bro advice out’ve his own experience.

No complaints here. Speedy is cool.. It’s subject oriented,stays on topic,and traverses the subjective and objective nicely. It’s relevant to the industry he works in,and informing. Is all warm in there,almost gross.. Certainly job interview esque.. No freaky Nina alerts 🚨,city bashing,nothing.. Professionalism personified..

The starting conversation around internships varies industry to industry. But times are different. Not paying interns is not a look. Not everyone starting out has a safety net or support system to fall back on. They’re just trying to “break-in”. Mindsets like Rosenbergs are the kinds of reasons people don’t have opps to break in cause you believe in free labor. Why can’t someone get experience, learn, work on projects, contribute skillsets & also get paid?👀🤷🏾♀️. I find rosenbergs opening take based off Speedys story, problematic.
