@marl745
@marl745 7 жыл бұрын
Uhhh...dont over think it. If you take the time and break down the simpler concepts a 9 yr old could understand(who also happens to be an advanced math student) you can also show them how hip-hop can be entertaining while also being thought provoking with complex bars far beyond the BS they may typically hear(aka, not mainstream). Thats all this was...so again, youre way overthinking it.

and what is awoke? People who agree with you personally? So much ego. This whole "woke" bullshit is the pop culture version of saying youre "enlightened." Its for fuckboy children who feel like they need to big themselves up instead of actually learning. Humble people wont go around parading how woke they are, idiots will.
@mnybags07
@mnybags07 6 жыл бұрын
Vinny Smh he's woke because of his open mind. I'm sure there are things that we disagree with. The fact that he goes out to seek knowledge and build HIS OWN perspective shows that he's woke. Don't be mad my brotha just wake up. Nobody is here bragging about themselves being woke. Denzel paid homage to those who are. What's wrong with that??

Truly one of THE best artists ever. He changed the landscape, and was really the first rapper to transcend just rap. He acted, he did poetry, and etc. However, he faced personal, label, and political issues that sort of delayed his career (most of it self-inflicted of course). It was good to hear from him in this interview, and you can still see he hasn't quite found the best way to navigate that. But that's because he's principled. I selfishly wish he could have continued to make music, because I believe he really would have been remembered as the best...but he has his own stuff on his plate.

Always good to hear and see positive vibes coming from Yasiin Bey. I appreciate how he keeps reiterating beings world conscience and educating one's self outside of the mainstream media hype. I pray The Eternal keep him and positive activists/artists out here who are making a difference for the better. Side note loved "We're going to get it popping in a few, but first we have to take care of some human issues. We appreciate your energy and idea." Had me ROTFL

Adonis Barnes true, no respect. Number of my co-workers are thieves and liars to the hilt, and because I'm not apart of this, daily I go through harassment and bullying. Not a day go pass. Can't wait to move on, only still there because the pay is somewhat decent . Should not have to go to work stressed out before walking in the doors! Management refuses to correct the bad behaviors . We are union and yet union continue to always on the side of the company.
