His comments on Michael brown were not a good look...nothing he did was remotely close to deserving 6 to the dome. Remember when 2 dudes tried to decapitate a British guy in the middle of London? Well even with machetes and blood in their hands they were shot in the leg and neutralized...that's the way it's gotta be
@im100percentg6 жыл бұрын
ExtraDomus do you know how fucking hard it is to control yourself to shoot limbs? Have you heard of adrenaline rush? Breathing alone effects your shots. Imagine trying to shoot someone legs running straight at you with a dagger... you are bugging. Mike still shouldn’t have been shot tho
@Ayubdj76 жыл бұрын

I know this comment is old but people are coming back to this video in 2018. It's true in the UK they have a shoot to incapacitate policy whereas in the U.S. cops are told to shoot to kill. But one thing you have to consider is obtaining a firearm in the UK is heavily restricted but in the U.S. there's more guns than people. Maybe you could argue that people with melee weapons should be incapacitated not killed but I don't know if the U.S. would ever do it.
@DClarke19006 жыл бұрын
@@Classikh Yeah and let's not forget that the perpetrator successfully decapitated the police officer in broad daylight before the cops with guns even managed to show up on the scene. And if he wanted to kill more he could have easily. Plus the US is way too dangerous compared to Europe for our police to be unarmed.

“Tailor black people up so they don’t look all hood” This is a very problematic statement. While dress has an effect on a person’s presentation, one element that he is missing is skin color; this is a form of apparel we cannot change. Just hinting at black people simply having to change their appearance or style in style to appeal to supremacists is naive and irresponsible. Everyone’s “black experience” is different so I’m not knocking him for his view, but in return I just see this statement to be offensive and dangerous. I completely understand the aspect of black people taking responsibility in multiple areas but I’m wondering if he even researched the Mike Brown case... No matter how a person dresses they still deserve the same amount of respect as alternatives and to minimize the existence of a racist and white supremacist society that does not value black bodies is disrespectful. Be careful how you project your own experience on a public platform. You may not speak for me as a “black people”, Travis. You may not suggest to me the things you think “we” should be doing. Our values are not aligned and aren’t the same.

@peanutbutterrobot8 жыл бұрын
Well they were both created from oppression and anger. Punk rock started the same way rap/hip hop did. People in bad neighborhoods rebelling against police brutality and poverty. Both started out trying to send a message, either out of frustration(grandmaster flash/ KRS1)(early 70s punk crass, the adverts) or out of anger. Ice T started out doing some punk songs before he became a rap legend. Then you have Bad Brains(all memebers were brothas) which was a punk band that also incorporated reggae. Both genres have a root message of rebellion and solidarity. And of course they both having amazing examples of stage performance.

When he says a lot of rappers are now becoming really interested in art and culture, kids can aspire to be "artistic dudes" instead of "street dudes", I think that they should aspire to be themselves instead of modelling their whole image and persona off of an artist, however cool and artistic they may be. You have to keep it real and be yourself. You shouldn't categorise yourself and attempt to be someone you are not. I'm not saying that if you take an interest in art and so on it's an act I'm just saying don't do it to be accepted or for credibility.
