They are an easy place to point someone asking for a different perspective and/or who will provide a better overview of the candidates and their policies. TYT provides a good foundation on some of the issues I care about, but I don't just assume they are right - I don't agree with them on plenty of things; it's disappointing when they twist a story and/or a comment just enough to make it inflammatory, etc. They can be unprofessional and some of the rants several of them engage in are cringe-worthy. All that said, I find that for all intent and purposes TYT provides a descent overview of the issues and it's not often that they misrepresent the facts. I'm not an idiot or too simple minded to recognize everyone has an agenda or financial contributor(s) that makes it impossible for complete transparency.
