They love playing Gmod! Its more social. It's also why they like to play Civ5. Honestly it can be pretty hard to enjoy a game when you have to talk the whole time. So social games like Civ and Gmod are great for them! They can enjoy the game and each others company. It's simple when a big part of the game is talking to your friends! Sips we love you and do what you enjoy doing with your friends!

I used to record stuff pretty often and even though what you said is true about social games being better because you can talk to people, when you record a single player game, you only have to record it for around fifteen minutes at least each day. So if its their job to make videos, recording something and talking to yourself for 15-25 minutes isn't very much. I enjoy the Gmod videos though, I just wanted to point out that some people are making it seem like if he recorded a single player lets play all of a sudden it would be intruding on his family life and other stuff..

Cxmndo My point was that Sips may just need a break from recording single player games so he can enjoy some games on his own time or maybe just needs a break in general and Gmod is *mentally* easy. (even more so after his trip to the UK and long streams). Also its notable that the yogscast and all big youtube channels don't only play 15 min for one video. They do a sit down and record a few hours but stop to end a video and then keep going. That way in a day they can make a few videos for the whole week/month. (Also its likely the past 10 Gmod videos were all done on the same day.)

ThatsNotMyPirate You gotta think about everything though. Their job is to entertain people, and a lot of people subbed to Sips for his single player lets plays. Compared to other jobs, playing video games and editing the footage is a lot less time consuming and stressful than most jobs. So a KZbinr playing single player games instead of something they've uploaded consistently for months isn't asking for a lot. I can see what you're saying. Except it would make the most sense to me if Sips would upload Gmod at the same time as doing a single player lets play to please his entire fanbase.

Cxmndo And he will do that haha. Gmod right now is so high because of his trip to the UK. He most likely knew this would happen so recorded Gmod before leaving for his trip because its a big trip and he will need time to recover like anyone. Also I can tell you editing video does take a lot of time. More time then a lot of you think. Even my videos can take me a whole day to do. Ether way, you are sub to sips for sips, it's his channel and he can upload what he wants. When we are at his channel its like we are over at his house and we can't really demand something, We can only ask *Respectfully* for something. At the end of the day he will try to upload stuff we want to see but over all its his place and he can do what he wants. (: Hope this helps.

Vincensius Lie You really don't get it do you? He lost ALOT of pre-recorded footage he planned to release, a great variety of content. Letting it all go to waste would be a stupid decision, I'd rather him focus on getting his hard work back then focus on recording new content so his fanboys will be happy. You can't say its hardly an excuse because your harddrive isn't screwed. He announced on his reddit that its why there has been a lack of other content. Look it up.

Potatosaurus Oh, I understand what is going on and I read his reddit. What you don't understand is that he is not blaming hdd failure for his lack of content. That is only part of the reasons. I believe family time takes more toll on him than hdd failures. Even before the hdd failures, he still had gmod for majority of his channel. Also, i never said anything about letting the previous recordings go to waste, he could have an expert look after it and getting it working if possible since he is probably not an expert in recovering it. In the meantime, a new hdd and records new stuff is not hard to do.

Hey sips, don't know if you will get this or not, but I have the same problem on minecraft with the freeze lag... It turned out that as I played the Ram usage was peking to high and i had to go into the settings and allow it to use more Ram that made it stop. Hope this helps

Whoever's hosting needs to forward the appropriate ports on their router. (Google it; loads of guides around.) By default your router will block all incoming traffic it doesn't recognise. Also make sure your friend's trying to connect to your actual internet IP address, not your LAN IP address. Some games 'punch holes' in the router's firewall for you to let other people connect, but gmod ain't one of them. Easy mode is just look for DMZ and force it on with your LAN IP in your router control panel. This makes all incoming traffic go straight to that computer. It's pretty insecure.
