Today was supposed to be a day off, but I really wanted to play round with the new trailer for season 2 & make it longer. So here it is! I focused on the main "climax" : I repeated it, then wrote a darker B section. I then extended the intro on the second loop going into the climax. Hope you enjoy it!

Love those two promotional photos. Capture perfectly the essence of the characters now: afraid and trapped, and angry and in grief. Even the position of the characters, Rhaenyra turns her back to the future but is looking upper right (right is the future/something positive in composition), when Alicent is facing the right but turns her head back, trapped by her past and past actions. The shadows on their faces highlight that intention. 🙂

It’s probably a wink in the end. Those who have read the book know how this will all end. SPOILER : bad for both characters BUT in a way you can say that one side will win in the long run, the Targaryen line will continue through one of these two women. Look where the gaze of the only legitimate queen turns. Black wins in the end.

@@juka946 Yep, it's pretty clear. And the light from the right (future) for Alicent seems to only be freed from her chains. Not in a god way, I guess. 😆

@@juka946Did the Blacks really win? - The Greens are remembered as victors of the war given it was Aegon II vs Rhaenyra and she was killed by him. - Aegon II was chronicled as the legitimate 6th monarch of the dynasty - Aegon III inherited as the named heir of Aegon II - Aegon III and Viserys II never rectified Rhaenyra's legacy as "Usurper" - Viserys ascended the throne over his niece (like Jaehaerys I to Aerea) and cited the Great Council of 101 AC to cement his claim - Rhaenyra "fought" so that *she* could be Queen. Instead her sons became kings through the laws TG fought for and stood by. - Rhaenyra is so infamous in history that not one single descendant of hers is named after her in the following 170 years after her death. Yet the Green line died out. The purpose of the story is that it was a tragedy where no one *truly* won; Dragons perished, the realm was scorched and it was the beginning of the end for the Dynasty.
