Thanks, that was easy!!! It’s nice to have a practice tune (I know by heart) to practice so many new chords.

I would love to hear your take on "House of the Rising Sun." I am trying to learn it right now and I'm getting better, but I struggle with making the E chord.

@@CoryTeachesMusic Just a fun fact to add - You can actually sing the lyrics to "Oh Little Town of Bethlehem" to it and it *totally* works.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! The play along in the Patreon was extremely helpful too. This is the fastest I’ve ever learned a song. I would love to learn how to play it in the original key too.

Very interesting take, but I don't feel this song works well as a stripped down version on a single ukulele. I feel that it's such an epic song that it needs more instruments to do justice to its complexities. Also, your lovely voice seems a bit too angelic for the darkness of the lyrics. But it's great that you offer such a variety of songs in your tutorials.

Hey Cory, I was wondering if you could do a tutorial for the Better Call Saul Theme song Great Video, I love this song 🥰
@CoryTeachesMusic2 жыл бұрын
What is the theme called? Is it one for just the song or a preexisting song they picked for the opening of the show?
@des_7512 жыл бұрын
@@CoryTeachesMusic Its called "Better Call Saul Theme" by Little Barrie. And just the first 20 seconds of the song would be great, thats the amount they play as the intro for the show
@des_7512 жыл бұрын
Also, the tabs for the intro are already made, I've just been struggling with them since I'm a beginner and dont know how to read tabs 😅 This is a KZbin video of someone playing it if you want to check it out kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWHYYnVqbNyDj80

@CoryTeachesMusic2 жыл бұрын
Lol, you know I thought it looked weird when I was going through but just didn’t think anything of it, but after looking it up, the "bends" is a play on word thing in the actual lyrics and refers to the narrator noticing and experiencing a chaotic state and falling further into the magic of the hotel.
@bluemoon6625 Жыл бұрын
@@CoryTeachesMusic Yes, that verse is about being caught up in consumerism and a hedonistic, materialistic lifestyle... Tiffany and Mercedes being companies which sell luxury items. Such clever lyrics, such an evocative song. The guitar riffs written and performed by Don Felder took the song to a level that puts it in a class of its own. In an interview where the writers were interviewed about the meaning of the song, they said that it was intended to tell a dark story, along the lines of The Twilight Zone, but it was also about the journey from innocence to experience. This song is a masterpiece, IMO.
