We can appeal to our indian government to stop this bullshit management of hotel industry. And put some good strategy like working hours, salary, offs, behaviour with staff, etc. Then this industry get good skilled and enthusiastic peoples.

I quit my hospitality undergrad after attending it for merely 6 months. this was prior Covid-19 and the consequential economical hit the industry faced due to world going for quarantine. had I continued my course, I would've been jobless in the entire year of 2020 and would have worked for countless hours in the subsequent years of 2021-22. glad I took the right decision and abandoned the course. today, I am working as a digital marketer and a freelance writer. I work according to my own schedule and make more than what an average hotelier with 3 years experience could make. I work from home, yet I can travel in nearby countries as long as I can afford the essential expenses with my freelancing gigs, which I usually do cover. I'll advice those intending to persue the hospitality world to think practically about your situation. if you in it, prepare to hustle hard yet expect that your initial journey will suck. if you have decided to abandon your course, make sure you re-enter a different field (possibly STEM) as soon as you can. This will help you establish your career and provide you a justified escape from your hospitality past --- if it is truly frustrating you right now.

Great thinking about the youths sir u have a concern for hoteliers I didn't listen such a humble words for any staff of hotel industry from anyone before it Everytime we have to listen that we have to do work more and more no matter what is going on with you they don't care Thank you sir for this concern I also appeal to head of all hotel industry that not to work more than 10 hours it's not a cup of tea. You will think when any of you will be there

India me yahi drama ha .Ye hotel brands India me aake hi essa karte ha .kutti government aur brands ha ye . Bass India me hi ye sabh hota ha Hotel industry me bass kaam ha aur paisa kuch nahi . Na koi overtime na kuch . Kesa desh Jess desh me na izzat ho na paisa mile aur overexploitation bhi . Government ka to kya hi kehna koi lena dena hi nahi ha

Not from today, this industry is always having an abusive culture. And they know how to take a proper advantage of people's compulsion. There are students who dream to become successful hotelier and have that positive attitude at their work. This industry too gave them reason how to hate it and let them know you never going to be a part of it. No matter whatever education you have. You're from IHM's or IIHM's. At the end of the day we all known as skillfull labor. The working culture hotel industry is having make their staff frustrated, depressed, and let know them know they're good for nothing. We forget how to behave in a society and how to give respect to our parents and everyone's culture. People who choose this industry have nothing but regret why they choose this industry and wasted their future in every possible manner. I'm not going to tell here who I m and from what I've been through. But this what I'm going to share here. I just wanted to tell everyone who are new to this industry or part of it is that stop wasting your life or put yourself and your future on stake. There are hundreds n thousands of other industry here in a market where you all can be successful at their work and be the best kind of you. And be the human within you.

@@lukemark6567 bro it not about doing Hotel Management and make your future in hotel industry only. For ex:- You can go for various retail sectors where you can make your future. Or do MBA courses in tourism or marketing. The hotel industry and retail sectors outside India is very very far nicer than whatsoever happening in India. You can go for Cabin crew if you're in good shape or clear the norms you also can go for cruise as well. You can do MSc in hotel operations and try for lecturership by giving NHTET exam. And other more options are there. THE POINT IS JUST TO NOT LOOSE YOUR HOPE IN LIFE.

Way out of the current scenario in the domestic market is to venture out of UAE. Endless opportunities are available because of FIFA world up, T20 world cup and Dubai Expo. Maldives too has good opportunities. The domestic hospitality and tourism sector will take atleast 3-5 years to get back to pre covid numbers in-terms of employability and salaries. The industry realises this and will take corrective measures. Let's hope for the best.

True, the current scenario is really horrible. Last year i joined itc as a fresher and you wouldn't believe Me when I say I had to work for a total of 33 HOURS once and that too, in Front Office, honestly working and not goofing around. It really puts you down when you're working hard and your manager still chooses to favour others letting them off with only 8 hours and dumping their work onto you. Well, I left that place. Not only shift durations but work culture matters too.

As a trainee, I'm working in taj vivanta Whitefield Bangalore i get stiffen of RS 1250 in month nd my rent here is 12000 per month .... the management is so fucked up here it's not abt one hotel, it's abt whole hotel industry in India. We worked here 14-16 hours... they do not care abt health of the employees nd trainee... they only just want the output.... seriously I'm telling u homemade food is better than 5 stars hotel or 7 star. Hotel industry is only just a glamorous in which there r many hidden secrets. In India they will only teach u how to be a donkey or fool...i will not recommend u to do hotel management here in India... If u want to do just go abroad. There u get good wages nd there will be a specific time of ur shift.... Everyone has struggle but when i see others i forgot mine nd continue my work Apart from dis I will not give up i have to complete my training no matter what coz I've choosen dis . Everyday i motivating myself...u can do it. it's only a 5 month nd in winter u I'll be in ur home. This is my prospect regarding dis industry in India... If anyone wants give his experience i would love to read :-)
