Have you been to Puerto Vallarta? Where should we go on our next trip down there?
@livelife1899 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for this review! Did you see any weddings or private events during your stay? The hotel sent me a price sheet and it costs $75 pp to rent out the outdoor Blaze dining experience. It feels like a lot since it's technically free all inclusive food, but they ask for a higher price for a private event experience (i.e. all of us to sit together)

I've been to the Hyatt Ziva in Puerto Vallarta twice. Once in February of 2017 and in January 2020. Both times it was absolutely fabulous. Every staff member we encountered was wonderfully helpful. Except for 1 meal at Blaze the food was great both at lunch and dinner at all the restaurants on both trips. The night we went to Blaze on the first trip we enjoyed the most tender and flavorful steak I had ever eaten. On the second trip in Jan 2020 my family and friends went to Blaze for my daughter's birthday dinner and the food was disappointing. It was a mixture of different meats and not enjoyed by any of us. Lunches at Blaze were fabulous. Only one disappointing meal in two trips is a 10 in my books. We never once had anything less than great service by every person working at the Ziva. Our rooms were great, everywhere was very clean and the beach is great. I intend to return as soon as I can travel without worry of Covid-19 and /or the 14 days of isolation upon returning. This is a gated resort hotel with Security on the gates 24/7 and the beach is totally private. You can take a cab into old Vallarta or the bus. Bust takes maybe 10 minutes.

Hey Sue! Thanks for your comment- we are so glad to hear you enjoyed your trips!! Really glad, in particular, to hear your thoughts about the food. What that means to me is that we may have been during a time or change with F&B management. We’ll have to go back soon to test it out ;). We hope you are able to travel back soon- let us know your updates when you do!

@@VoyagerGuru Thanks I will keep you posted. I have been to Mexico many times and visited different resort areas since 1984. I've been to Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. My absolute favored town is Puerto Vallarta. I think I have been there possibly 18 times. Stayed in small hotels, large hotels , all inclusive and condos. My absolute favorite All Inclusive resort in PV is the Hyatt Ziva and I would not want to go to any other all inclusive in PV.

I've been curious about the Hyatt... but during the pandemic, we visited Garza Blanca which is right down the road, and completely fell in love with the Hotel and its people! We have gone 3 times in the past year and a half and looking forward to our next stay in December. The food is really good and gourmet even for an all-inclusive... maybe check it out next time! :)

Hi, Nice review, does bathroom have steam sauna function? Or does public area offer steam sauna?
@VoyagerGuru3 жыл бұрын
Hello! I did not see one in the bathroom, however, it’s possible that the spa has this offering. I would recommend calling to find out - also, if they do have one, it may not be open due to covid-19 so depending on your travel dates, it may not be available. Let me know if you have any questions
@starallianceflyer72313 жыл бұрын
@@VoyagerGuru thanks for the help, I checked it says Ziva is al inclusive. But I assume spa is a separate item right? How much is the spa and water activities?
@VoyagerGuru3 жыл бұрын
@@starallianceflyer7231 That's correct- typically you can access certain facilities for free and then spa treatments are separate. Typically the spa services range from $100+. I recall the activities being fairly reasonable. We booked a tour for about $125

I watched this review before we went there on Nov 11th. And I just rewatched the review again now that I’ve experienced it. We stayed in the main building... our room I would say was quite humid, to the point it felt musty and the AC didn’t make the room feel anymore comfortable (cold and damp). I would agree about the food - it was hit and miss. Blaze we had poor service. Pureza, the food was nothing to write home about. I will say the facility, the beach and overall environment was what really made me say wow. I would go back just for that. The Buffett was actually a lot better than the sit down places. Susanna helped my wife with Gluten Free options and also had custom food made for her. Thanks for the review, I think you guys did an outstanding job. I’m probably going to subscribe. Thought about doing a vlog?

+MD Adventures thank you so much for the comment and for your experiences after the stay!! Ugh bummer the main building wasn’t as nice- that’s always disappointing to hear. Wow, I’m relieved to find out they were helpful with gluten free options. It’s clear to me they really wanted to try and help but it’s not the staffs fault that the food is mediocre, it seems like a management issue for sure. Thanks for the kind words!!! Really excited that we were able to provide some useful insights before your trip ❤️❤️ stay in touch!

+MD Adventures also about the vlog, we’ve tried a few videos in vlog format, like our experience in Singapore at lau pa sat market and a couple others on our channel. Is that type of format something you’d want to see more of?

Hi guys and thx for the review can you pls tell me if the rooms without balconies do the panoramic doors open? Thx 😁 be there on Thursday ❤
@VoyagerGuru5 жыл бұрын
Hey Loulou!! I hope you have an amazing time! Let me know how it is!! So the rooms without the balconies do slide open, according to the concierge I messaged. It is unclear how far they open up though (if they have a small slit or slide all the way). If you try and it only opens a little, you can try and see if theres a screw blocking it. I've seen that a bunch at hyatts and I usually am able to unscrew the little screw with my fingers :).

Thank you for the video! We are going in a month and I am so excited :D Would you suggest snorkeling in their beach area? I'm contemplating buying gear for us and just hanging around the resort vs going on an excursion (we're only there 4 nights). Also, Maren, I love the cover-up dress you're wearing towards the end! Do you know where you purchased this? I'd love to get one for myself ;) Thanks again you two, and happy travels!!
@VoyagerGuru2 жыл бұрын
Hi Traci! Thanks for reaching out!! I hope you have an amazing time :). There was a bit of a current when we were there so we did not snorkel on that beach - it also did get deep pretty fast, so I would check with the hotel to see if there's an ideal snorkeling spot on the beach or if its better to go elsewhere. Regarding the dress- it was from Forever 21!! Lol, sometimes you can find some great gems there. Usually I buy coverups and dresses from Shein :)

Hi Roger, I’m a bit surprised by your comment. It appears you also are making travel videos, and it’s frankly shocking that you’re so rude to other creators. Are you trolling to get more views on your channel? Kind of a shady tactic, but good luck.
