Hey folks, I stopped at the Sol Principe Torremolinos for 9 nights in April 2024.
This review is from a Jet2Holidays 9 night package holiday for two people from Leeds to Torremolinos. The holiday included return flights from Leeds, seats selected on the aircraft, 20kg luggage each, 10kg hand luggage each and 9 nights accommodation on a half-board basis. The total cost for two people was £1,718.
The first room that I was allocated (2814) was on the eight floor of accommodation block 2. It was a nice enough room, but the double bed was too small for two large adults, it had ONE plug socket in the room and the bidet was broken. I decided to go back to recpetion and ask to be moved to a room with two single beds and I'm really glad that I did, as the two single beds were effectively a king-sized bed when they were next to each other. The second room that I was allocated was room 2916 on the ninth floor of the same accommodation block. This bedroom also had only one electrical plug socket, which seems crazy, in the end I bought a strip plug from the supermarket, but these are available to hire from reception also (I found out afterwards).
The room was a good size, it had a large triple wardrobe, safe (key is at reception, you pay a deposit that is refundable), TV, table, chair, fridge, ample storage, bed side tables and a lovely balcony wth great views over parkland that we couldn't access (looked nice anyway) and we could see the sea. The bathroom was large with a showever over the bath, sink, toilet, bidet and hairdryer.
The room also had air-conditioning and it was very comfortable, the lack of plug sockets was an annoyance but not enough to put me off the place.
The hotel is huge and is spread over accommodation blocks. They get a lot of conferences and large parties from institutions such as universities, While we were there, there was a darts festival taking place and several university groups there. It made for a good mix of people and not just the usual tourists.
The reception area is bright and vibrant, it can be busy at times and check-in can be slow, but the reception staff are lovely and helpful.
The hotel has large swimming pools on one side and a smaller pool at the back near the beach. There are lots of gardens and nice outdoor spaces. There is also a games arcade, bar, sports bar and large restaurant. The food was very good, I enjoyed everything that I ate there.
The film features views around most public facilities at the hotel as well as a detailed room review and views from my balcony. I liked the hotel, despite my initial misgivings and would definitely stay here again in future.

Seriously you want a great Spanish holiday we went to the gf fanabe in tenerife costa adeje good entertainment good food the staff really couldn't do enough for us plus plenty of plugs in the room 😊

1 plug no great but I always take a multi adaptor bidet do you have one at home never seen one in a uk home bed was a touch small

Multi-adaptor is essential. We don't commonly have bidets in the UK. I think they're great!

I was there a few years didn't rate the room the food was good couldn't falt the bar staff a bit of a language barrier the hotel was two hotels made into one the pools were brilliant one morning we went out on the balcony a saw a naked Spanish couple 😂and you would think they might Have a air Still 😂
