This is the first Hotel Tour I ever watched. Thanks, Andrew and Jason, for getting me even more into hotels. ^^

I have stayed at the Days Inn in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina twice, in November 2007 and August 2008. I was in the same room both times so I jokingly call it my "personal" room at that hotel, like the staff makes sure that no one but me can have that room!

Nice tour! My family and I would often stay overnight here on our trips to Florida; I remember going to the pool and the nearby Cracker Barrel for dinner. :D

Forgot to mention, love the photographs at the start of the tour. The sunset, the rolling forested hills . . . Again, brings back some really nice memories. :) I don't remember the breakfast area, must be fairly new. I believe the last time I was there was in 1995, maybe.

I really like the hotel, I remember you did several room tours but no full in depth hotel tour, You also showed briefly where the pool was in one tour which was also of a railroad room but it was closed, so it is nice to get an in depth look at it, Pretty Nice Place
@MeaghanEdwards5 жыл бұрын
It's not a fancy place, sure, but at the risk of sounding strange, this place holds a special meaning to me as it was always a place to stay at overnight on my family's trips down to Florida in the 1980s/1990s; that Florida beach was only some days away! Always loved swimming in the pool after a trip to Cracker Barrel for dinner; I remember they had a hot tub/jacuzzi in an area away from the main pool, not sure if it's behind doors or just not there anymore. Glad to see the place is still around and getting some love through a renovation. Maybe do a hotel tour when it's completed?
@SamSitar12 жыл бұрын
we learn more about that hotel with each visit. his tours are very educational.

Just what I was waiting for! I am going to do a hotel tour of the great wolf lodge in Pocono PA!
@MeaghanEdwards Жыл бұрын
I think instead of just having that empty space, they could put a couch and/or workstation in just to save you guys the time of going down to the lobby. There used to be a hot tub there when I was a little girl; looks like they took it out. IMO a changeroom in the indoor pool building would be a nice addition as coming in and out of the pool would be chilly in the colder months.

Definitely not commenting here because I love the Carrier ac lol. Fun fact a Sleep Inn that I go to has this ac in some rooms. I already memorized all the ac brands the Sleep Inn has lol Carrier, Amana and GE and the new Premaire ac. I remember when I was little back in like 2010, I would always get a room with the Carrier one.

It's an okay hotel, but as seen in the video there are a few problems 1. The sink is seperate from the bathroom 2. There is no chain lock 3. There is mold on the bathub walls which is very impleasant. By the way, I'm an elevator photographer as well and I know my hotels when I see one.

Not really into toilets but when you said don't know what to think about that flush, to make it flush better hold the handle down until its all the way down. the one in our apt at our complex is from the 80s and I have to hold the handle down to make it flush better. Since I do that all the time in the apt I've automatically just started doing that at other places lol even if it does flush good or not. With the bed though, I also don't mind just the one bed in the room, but I would have wanted the one closest to the Air conditioning Lol I gotta have the A/C blowing on me when I go to a hotel or a fan of some sort it just helps me sleep better. I sleep very good as it is when I go to any hotel especially if the bed is wicked comfortable but the A/C blasting makes me sleep even better. I'm also just hot all the time Lol

If I remember correctly there used to be a hot tub/jacuzzi along with the regular pool (that looks like while they kept it up they didn't change the appearance of it from 20+ years ago). We didn't stay here on the family trip to Florida in 2015, but in the nearby Hampton Inn.

that's weird how much you have to go outside to go to the pool just imagine you and your bathing suit going out to the pool in the winter day
@MeaghanEdwards5 жыл бұрын
I was thinking that, too, because of the icky weather the state can get. I stayed at the Hampton Inn in '15 on a family trip down to Florida and looking out at the rain from the pool, was glad they didn't have the same setup.

Angela had the worst experience at the Princeton Days Inn with Donna GaMarsh Reilly as the manager, she cannot find her way home after 3 hazards, Ice on roads, a Glyphosate spill and a Talcum Powder spill, so she stayed in her room, which has a bathroom and only ONE BED, the blanket on the bed was making her sweat, and if she wants something to eat or drink, she can use the vending machines and one of the channels displays Drug Injury Attorney commercials instead of the selected commercials. The payphones are out of order and must call a number from her cell phone, and must kept it charged. The water is SUPER COLD every time she showers, the faucet is leaking every time she cleans her hands or brushes her teeth and the toilet tank doesn't have any water in it. If she wants to go somewhere from her hotel, she must WALK there in the FREEZING COLD. If she needs to go to Walmart, the manager must take her there HERSELF, even when the items she ordered online are being picked up. When checking out, the manager must check her room she stayed in for any items left behind. And the drawer is EMPTY, no bible, no phone book, NOTHING, just EMPTY, only to store her personal items especially the ones she purchased from WALMART. Everything else went okay for her.
