Hi Sash! Ah congrats! I think it was a garden view but I know it definitely wasn't a river view since I couldn't see a river from the balcony lol 😂...they just happened to give us this corner room with the huge balcony, but not all of the rooms are like that. If you want the room I had I'm sure you can request it. Hope that helps!

Looks an intriguing destination. Be interested to see how you compare it to your visit to Excellence Playa Mujeres. We are fans of Excellence hotels, including PM and like the experience they give you but are always on the lookout for other adult only options. We have tried others but always gravitate back to Excellence. One negative thing I have heard about Arte is that you need reservations for the restaurants and they can be hard to come by. That is one plus for Excellence - you just rock up and if they are busy they give you a pager. Before now we have had a starter and entre at one then gone to another for a few deserts and really like that flexibility. Love the look of this place and hoping it might be an option but having to make dinner reservations is a big negative for me... please let me know how it was. Thanks

Thanks for the comment! Arte was an amazing place to stay at it was on another level in terms of things to do and the general wow factor! Excellence was amazing in its own way though and I loved that too! You'll see in my upcoming videos that the food at Arte was incredible. At the time we went it wasn't too busy so getting reservations wasn't too tough. One tip is that you can actually call the hotel for free or email them in advance of your stay and get everything booked in advance which reduces the chances of you missing out and stress during your trip! Also not all of the restaurants require a reservation. Hopefully you'll find my upcoming videos useful 👍🏽

We are staying for 10 days in July (I know it will be warm lol). We are booked at Arte in an Riverview room. We were debating to do the Adult Riverview to stay in the Artistas building for the vip benefits but its $1200 more for the trip....will we be disappointed if we dont pay the extra for the upgrade? Regarding food....we aren't into the odd stuff like bugs and bone marrow lol....what would you say are the best restaurants to get reservations in advance? Thanks for the helpful videos :)

Lol its gonna be warm for sure. I went in July too! Tbh I don't think it's worth the $1200 upgrade that's a lot of money that you could put towards another holiday lol. From what I saw in the VIP area...there's access to an exclusive restaurant but we got to dine there anyway because the hotel wasn't busy so may be the same for you. Lol bugs aren't my thing either 😂 but there's definitely food for everyone! The Japanese restaurant (Tah-Xido) was good so worth getting a reservation for that! Tbh you can always call them/email book the restaurants in advance so you have the reservation then cancel when you get there if you don't like the sound of the food...that way at least you won't miss out on anything 👍🏽

@@ManpsOnTheMap Perfect! Thank you. I was thinking the $1200 would be better spent elsewhere too. Only really see the added restaurant and rooftop bar as the advantage. I am writing an email to them now to make reservations for dining and parks. Las Cuevas, Encanta, Tah-Xido and Xin-Gao are ones I think we will request. Any others you can think of we might not want to miss that requires a reservation? As far as Xplor....if you do it by day, is the Xplor Fuego experience also worth doing? @@EliteEventAZ Exactly save your $1200 😂 The only other restuarant I can think of is chino poblano but that was ant eggs and bone marrow 😂 as for Xplor and Xplor Fuego the short answer is yes it's definitely worth doing both...im finishing up the editing in my next video which is a review of both parks so you'll see why soon! Video should be out sometime next week 👍🏽

They show a departure time to the park from resort and they show a return time....some are 10-11 hours later. Does that mean we are stuck at that park for 11 hours? do places like Xavage really need 11 hours?

@@EliteEventAZ So a lot of the parks including Xcaret, Xenses, Xplor have regular transport to and from the park (the Xcaret Buses) so you don't have to stay there all day. However, some things like Xoximilco had very specific booked transport. Xavage was closed when I went, but it's at the same place as Xoximilco which was like a 45 minute coach journey from Xcaret Hotel so it might be that Xavage has more specific transport times because of the distance. Hope that helps!

Thanks! Usually what I do is go on tripadvisor and search the hotel and put in the dates and it will basically show you lots of different prices from different websites. I find that the prices are similar so make sure you book from a site with good reviews or you can book with the hotel direct but that can be more expensive 👍🏽
