Hello Future Xcaret Brides! I decided to document my wedding planning journey to share my experience and be able to look back and see the whole process again! In this video, I share the pricing that I received for wedding packages and room blocks. So far, I have planned the venue, signed my contracted room block, and signed my wedding contract.
So excited to share this journey with you guys!

Could you make an updated video on the total cost and also how does the planning for colors, flowers, and food work? I thought they choose for you?

Will do once I finalize costs! They have vendors they work with but you still plan and give your designs/ideas. It’s still the same as planning a regular wedding. If you don’t like the in house vendors, you can work with other vendors but pay an outside vendor fee.

Thank you so much for letting your subscribers know how important it is to utilize a Travel Agent for their destination wedding. Just a bit of information about us Travel Agents. The majority of us do charge professional planning fee's(Agentscan have different names for this). This is more so the case, because of Covid. You are correct we do also make commission on the rooms. I wish you stress free wedding planning, a beautiful wedding and a wonderful future together as husband and wife.

Hi! Thanks for btw video super informative! We are thinking of getting married there. Question, you say things get finalized a few months before. Does the specific venue location for the ceremony and reception get finalized when you book the date, or a few months before? Because I know there are like three weddings there a day so wanted to make sure :-)

Hello! Yes the venue for reception and ceremony get booked when you place a deposit. I believe they only have 1 wedding a day, but another one could be happening at Xcaret park

Krizia, congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! Question, is there any entertainment included besides the soloist at the ceremony? Will you have at the reception and dinner or is this additional cost? If so, how much? And dancing?

Hey! Extra entertainment such as a DJ is at an extra cost, the prices fluctuate so I can’t give an exact cost. I’d say with a DJ and dance floor it can range anywhere from 2k-5k

Hey! It’s difficult to get ahold of the wedding department. The best way to book your wedding is through a travel agency. They have direct connections to the wedding department

Hello! Yes they did. The travel agency got me rates for a room block of 50 rooms. Once I placed the deposit for the room block, they got me my wedding contract

None at all! It was really hot during reception so I wish I had a second dress I changed into. My parents and other family members revisited this past January and February and they said it was too cold they didn’t enjoy the water activities too much.

Hello, I am looking to do the. same thing , in. the contract phase. Although we did not like the price for the group rooms. I will give a example : I did 5 rooms for 10 adults (2 per room "doubles" price) for the total cost with taxes for $10,400 on trip advisor website. Although, the same rooms and adults will be: $13,753.90 on the wedding package contract room rates. This is over $3,000 difference Did you every consider comparing prices when you did your contract? I am not sure what to do lol

Hey! I had the same issue, I brought it up to the travel agent who was able to reduce the price of the group rate. But I believe you must book at least 10 rooms to get the wedding prices. Are you working with a travel agent?

@@nurse_krizia hey! So I just emailed my travel agent some screenshots of other websites with cheaper prices to see if they can match it or so. I told her I would book 10 rooms with the package rates. On top of that I would prefer my family members (about 20-30) to book through third party sites to save 700$ ash per room and just meet us at the wedding lol since they are resort members anyways lol. Trying to save the family money if I can to entice more family members to come lol.

@@danielmontalvo4295 that’s a good idea to save money! Just be aware that your family members must book the rooms ASAP. I preferred room blocking because it gives the options for my family members to pay through a payment plan over 9 months vs paying full price right away. Hopefully the hotel can price match!

@@danielmontalvo4295 I also follow a hotel Xcaret wedding page who advised to not book through third party websites because there’s a possibility that if the hotel oversells, they will be the first ones to be transferred to another hotel

@@nurse_krizia yes! I plan to open a 0% APR card when making downpayment and deposits and such. So I can pay it over 12 months etc per se. So I will book the rooms ASAP from this party and let the families pay us back, month over month until the wedding for the cheaper price. =]. Just my idea of tricking the system a bit. This doesn't help us (bride and groom ) but just the family out to save lol. Thank you for your videos! best of luck!

I’m not sure what you mean by guest cost, but looking at around 80 guests it will be about $19,000. This doesn’t include decor and DJ.

Hey! I did have an issue, I tried doing the wire online but it got sent back. So the best thing to do is go to the bank and do the wire transfer in person
