Finally bit the bullet ordered these plus the rhodium & rose gold too I thought they didn't send to uk but they do no doubt I will be charged customs & VAT but I keep telling myself it will be worth it lol xx

How does the hard gel layer over the pigment can hold on to the Nail since you used a non wipe topcoat, there is no sticky layer 🤔

Hi ! you are doing great nails. I have a question ? Is it possible to put chrome on regular top coat but clean the sticky layer before ???

You can try it but you may not get the super smooth finish (it can look 'frosty' or glittery) as you would with a no wipe, I know that Angela @ Social Claws was able to get pretty good results with her Precious Metal pigments with Shellac Duraforce.

Yes, it is. It can depend a lot on your inhibition/tack layer and lamp intensity though. Some brands have mighty inhibition layers or they lean ‘rubbery,’ some lamps are low intensity. One tip: cleanse IPA and let dry thoroughly, if burnishing pigment application is still grabby, grainy or ‘satin’ repeat the cure and cleanse steps to get the residual inhibition layer out and off... but, by that time you may just want to invest in a quality tack free clear coat (recommended AND it’s available to you for other applications). I list steps using Shellac Duraforce on Instagram for Chromageddon Precious Metal collection. That would be a similar application to your great question. If you’re going for a smooth satin finish, matte finish color play, a metallic/less mirror or foil-like ombré on purpose; no problem - cleanse once or just leave the inhibition layer there. Those are really pretty design choices too. A great advantage to these cosmetic pigment effects is versatility, extending your options while avoiding a bumpy nail profile or ‘broken’ display effect you’d get with a glitter.

I totally empathize. Yes, in an up charge per service setting, the jar actually earns money. Hopefully, the way these effects can extend the looks achievable in any existing collection make the 11.80 USD per jar worth it for the rest.
