Can we talk about how genius Martin’s character is? Even though he’s only got two levels there’s two ways of seeing it: either he’s an actual actor and all that’s happening is really just a movie (except he was actually shot by accident by the actress) or he’s a real psychopath who justifies his actions by pretending (or maybe even believing) it’s a movie, murdered by the woman he kidnapped after she broke free and shot him. You can either see this from his or Richard’s perspective. Not to mention how meta his character is given how, just like the player, his excuse to enjoy violence is seeing it as fiction. It’s brilliant.

@@thaksjtube Nice theory, but I don't think so. Throughout the whole game there's no mention of another serial killer on the loose. If all the things in Martin Brown's levels were real, like Pig Butcher killing shit-ton of cops, they would be at least mentioned. It seems like Midnight Animal movie is just a highly fictionalised version of Jacket's killings from the first game.

@@РикДекард-и2э good point
@onpoint22923 жыл бұрын
@@РикДекард-и2э Yeah. That's spot on. That's the reason Martin's character keeps talking about a phone: Jacket did not have any proof of the 50 Blessings phone calls during his trial, so a lot of people think he just imagined them. The blonde girl is also a reference to Jacket's actual girlfriend that was murdered by Richter.
@vitordarksider3 жыл бұрын
He was even shot on the left arm, giving the girl enough time to consider what happened or even for him to scream in pain (which he probably did), so what we can get from this is that the girl and everyone else in the set were dumb.

I'm shocked that nobody comments on Martin Brown's insane shotgun fire rate, it is absolutely faster than Jake's and Mark's, hell, maybe even Pardo's, the wiki talks about how he has shit range on punches and slow meele swing, But how does It not talk about that god like shotgun fire rate?!
@La-Machina2 жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure it’s bc it’s a movie, and faster gun = more badass. It’s also why he’s only holding the shotgun with one hand, and when he fires, it flies up for a sec. It’s unrealistic bc you’d need to load the next shell into the chamber with your other hand, but it’s also cool as shit. Edit: so apparently jake does the same thing with a shotgun, but it’s just harder to see thanks to his black shirt, so maybe that was just for the coolness of a video game.

In the world of film, the guns used in movies are often real guns, they just use blanks. Sometimes they have real bullets in it for certain scenes. This is similar to what happened to Brandon Lee, the son of Bruce Lee. When Brandon was filming The Crow, he was accidentally shot with real bullets and killed.
@chiefr96273 жыл бұрын
@@mr.froglegs Even regular blank cartridges pose a threat as well. The cap at the end of the shell can be launched with enough pressure to kill someone. So if someone were to joke around and fire a blank into their own head, the brass could lodge itself into someone's head.
