@@nenozak714 i've always seen hotline miami (especially 2) as an anti war message, like metal gear solid 5 but more indirectly, while MGS was showing us the front lines, HM mostly shows us the consequences a war has on it's civilians (racism, ethnical wars etc).

@@sergodee7485 I don’t feel very sorry for him. He clearly wanted the spotlight both for his amazing “detective work” and his grisly murders of innocent people. He shot Tony while he was surrendering purely because he hated the attention the Fans were getting. I love Pardo as a character though. The way I see it, Hotline Miami is a game with very, very few heroes.

I was actually very sad when I realised that Pardo was the one mutilating those people. I was happy that i can play as badass detective, it reminded me of Miami Vice. Its shame that Pardo was miami mutilator all along

Thats thing, during your first playthough manny is the one of the few characters you can root for and justify is actions while playing, and then when you find out hes the killer . it hits hard

​@@wolficcage9113 Exactly, i was introduced into the whole Hotline Miami by the second game, and I was disgusted by the characters until Pardo appeared. The whole wrong number has kind of scary sober washed out feeling compared to the first game. I remember sitting with my mouth opened when the Voyager started playing in Down under, that was the moment i knew this game series would be my favourite. I am not even 20 but there were some parts of the game where i felt like i played it before. It was really weird. Now that I understand the whole amazing deppresing lore I know that it really isnt much of a complicated story. But when i first played it I was absolutelly flabbergasted by all the characters and connections, I wish I could experience it all for the first time again :(
