I bought one of these machines with a 5 year guarantee, 5 years was up October the 10th it has now broke just over 1 month past the guarantee

Yes it can, it can wash at very low temperatures.

bogdannb b I had a new one, this one is still working, I gave it to my grandfather as his was broken.
