It's pretty obvious why Plungerman died. He knew Secret Agent's existence, he knew Secret Agent is somehow involved with the beginning of everything. So Secret Agent just got rid of the last evidence that he literally pointed to while speaking: plungerman.

Basically, since plungerman saw the Alpha Hills lab poster and saw the actual secret agent, he probably doesn’t want him to tell everyone about him or what he did. Which is why he said “Certain things have to stay secret” and also that there isn’t any evidence except 1 while directly looking at plungerman. So unfortunately, it does seem that the secret agent was pretty much using the alliance for his own needs the entire time.

RIP to the Assassin Duo.. They fought well while they were here.. and they were OGs.. I think the Secret Agent killed Plunger Cameraman because he knew too much.. he's physically seen the Secret Agent.. and the Secret Agent had to get rid of that evidence so that the Alliance doesn't know about him.. and that required killing off Plunger Cameraman sadly.. to which Plunger Cameraman accepted his fate.. Hopefully we can see Plunger Cameraman and/or Dark Speakerman again in some way.. even if they just become ghosts like the Lucky Cameraman was or the Twin Cameramen.. and they work for the Secret Agent that is ultimately helping the Alliance... I wouldn't mind.. but I really want to see them again.. and these best bros really died together.. they really were best friends to the end.. Tbh, I don’t feel like plunger would wanna work for secret agent since he literally killed him for his own needs. Secret Agent may look like he is trying to help the alliance, however he is doing it all to figure out his own problems.

Theory: G-Man is either dead (by the titan trio) or alive (if the trio fought the Astros instead), if he's alive he'll come back as the Astro Toilets' right hand since Scientist is dead (therefore he can't upgrade anymore, so if he goes over to the Astros' side they'll keep him strong), Plungerman also might be revived by the Secret Agent (after everyone in the Alliance left) and join his side, sadly we can't say the same for Dark Speakerman 🥲
