I've become to reliant on having the four extra buttons with the paddles on these elite controllers. I had to buy one of these as backup since my first series 2 is starting to act up after 6 months with the face buttons giving multiple inputs with single button presses and the right bumper not registering at all at times. I'm glad they're both identical so I can move all the parts from my first controller on to the core while I send the other one for replacement or whatever ms decides to do. edit: Alright just received my series 2 core today and can say that they are not 100% identical. Anyone that has used an original elite series 2 will instantly notice the core's matte body as opposed to the originals rubberized body, next will be the matte finish on the triggers and bumpers instead of the smooth finish on the originals, the guide button is inverted on the core where it has a solid x. That's all I noticed to be different at the moment, probly just me but I feel the rumble on the core might be weaker.

"These controllers are build with the highest quality materials possible" Never a more false statement made. I think the RMA rate on this version of the elite is probably close to 1 in 5. I'm on my second one, most people are on their 3rd or 4th. And this one I had to send in 3 times til they fixed the bumper buttons. They're extremely poorly QCed and not designed to last at all. Theres no stick drift but there is massive amounts of stick slop compared to vanilla one controllers. The way they fix the metal thumbstick domes to the platic stakes on the analogue stick makes it impossible to be rigidly secure. meaning it inherently is less precise than normal ones. They are on sale for $70 right now on Amazon and for that price, I recommend picking one up, Just know you are all but guaranteed to have issues. I wouldn't recommend one for over $100.

I have the elite series 2 for like 3 years and I just changed today for the core but I feel like the joysticks on the core are more harder and on my old elite feel more light I don’t know if that is from to much use or the controller are just made different
@SweatedPear Жыл бұрын
The sticks on your old controller were probably just worn in.
@brucepreston3927 Жыл бұрын
It's most like just worn in sticks...I still go back to my series 1 controller sometimes because I like the lighter worn in sticks on it...I really only like the stiffer sticks when playing racing games or something where I need very fine control...
@ericcrosby4827 Жыл бұрын
The fact that you added all of those items separately instead of just getting the paddle and stick kits that are all over Amazon for $16.99-$19.99 in all kinds of colours and also I have seen the same ones for $29.99 that come with the charging dock as well. So you could save a lot more money then you showed.

i don't understand the point of buying an elite controller with basically none of the key features. makes way more sense to get the attachments or you could just get a regular xbox controller

From personal experience. The older build (Non core) feels sturdier in the hands, has a more firm feel to it, where as the Core controller in direct comparison feels lighter and a bit cheaper, if you’re looking for longevity i’d recommend the Elite series 2

What are the paddles on the back used for? I'm thinking of upgrading to one of these because of the fine tuning capabilities but I'm not aware of the back paddles. Do they work like the left and right triggers and bumpers?
@donutsyoutube Жыл бұрын
The back paddles can be binded to a specific button or action, it could be helpful in fps games like assigning the jump button to a back paddle so you don’t have to take your thumb off of the right stick. There’s a lot of stuff possible with them

How do I get the CORE version to connect to my PC wirelessly?
@HeyyySai Жыл бұрын
I check reviews for these regularly and I’m always on the fence. I feel like I should take comments with a grain of salt and just try one. They may fail to admit it but too many gamers put miles on hardware, eat while playing, rage and toss them, etc. Not to mention some just handle the controllers rather aggressively. Idk I just doubt every person commenting about stick drift or other issue are “responsible owners.” Ive owned literally every Xbox since it’s inception and Ive never had a controller last any less than 2 years. Just my 2¢.

Unpopular opinion I got an elite series 2 and the ergonomics hurt my hands so much. Been trying for a year to use it but I can't do it. My Xbox one s controller feels so much nicer and wider in my hands. I need to know if the after market ones copy the new shape. I can't stand it.
@ghostface0927 Жыл бұрын
I hear a lot of people complain about stick drift but I’ve had my elite 2 controller since launch day and never had any stick drift issue. The games I play is cod, madden, fighting games, and Lego games. So maybe there are certain games that’s can cause it that I don’t play but I’ve had no issues with my controller

In my opinion people just using too much force on analogs and then stick drift is a matter of short time. Had many controllers and never experienced stick drift at all.
@ghostface0927 Жыл бұрын
@@patryk9799 I too take really good care of my controllers. I never rage press/mash buttons to hard and I mapped two of the back paddles to analog stick presses when i heard of the stick drift problem

Looking at the comments. I feel quite lucky that mine worked for like 6 months until my left bumper stopped working good. It was still usable but I had to really push it down. I sent it back. 2 Years warranty is more than enough. Received it 2 days ago and it‘s feeling great again. If you‘re looking to buy the Elite 2, do it. I‘ve had a great experience with it and if it ever starts to not function, just send it back to get refurbished and you‘ll be good. And also: It truly depends on how gentle you are with the controller. If you‘re going to rage and punch, throw or slam it on the table then expect it to be broken faster.

I bought the warranty but had no idea how to use it
@bigmaybee2 жыл бұрын
@@taylorpennington8126 All you had to do was go to your Microsoft Profile, go to devices and find the device you‘re looking to send back. If you don‘t find the Device, add the device by putting in the Serial Number. Where you find the Serial Number depends on the device, once you have that press ,,register device,, or whatever may appear. And last but not least, request for your device to be refurbished. I hope this helped!

Does this controller feel as cheap as the regular series x controller? The regular controller creaks and makes noises like it’s going to fall apart . I’m debating on this or the scuf controller. The elite grip seems like it would hold dirt and be difficult to clean.

Elite 2 controllers feel much more premium, solid and heavier than standard controllers. You'll immediately notice the difference. Imo it's the best part about them. They just feel so quality. SCUF's feel just a bit better quality-wise compared to the standard and they're more expensive generally than the Elite 2
