I updated and don’t have any of this stuff.. no snoopy, no dialog enhance, no swipe up screensaver select .. version info says tvOS 18.2 [22k155] December 11, 2024 at 3:34:28 pm

Wow ! Snoopy screensavers. Makes my experience better, just like 3D emojis. Just because some software engineer reporting to some manager who works for a Director needs to check a box for their annual bonus, doesn’t mean it’s useful. Just more clutter requiring a higher cpu or gpu to get you to buy the next upgrade in hardware…so you can watch a Snoopy screensaver Good Grief 😏

Question for you... Just updated my two 4K devices (A16 and A18) to TVOS 18.2. Neither seem to have any of the features you discuss (Snoopy screensaver, aspect ratios, etc). After considering it for a while, I realized that both of the displays they are connected to are 10 years old or more. I am wondering if the features are dependent on the capability of the display. There doesn't seem to be anything published about it. Do you have the ability to find and confirm that answer?

Yeah not available on Apple TV4K (version A1842) I think it’s only for the 4K versions that have the newer remote not the black glass remotes we got with 2017 TV

Looks like the new screensavers were not in the 18.2 release. I heard they were there in beta but pulled at last min. Hopefully we get them in 18.3

Ted Lasso is super light good-feeling humor. Gets racy and characters are Excellent. Series came out during the Pandemic and saved people's lives and relationships by becoming excellent subjects of conversations with others.

Updating now to check it all out. Does anyone know if the update allows us to turn Apple TV on and off through apple HomeKit automation. Using Siri I can have it turn my TV on and off to which the Apple TV will pause and play. This works great. But I can’t seem to do the same with HomeKit automation

I don't think any of the new features are things I will use. I do use the music app and streaming services but that's about it. Sharing across devices, FaceTime, photo screen savers etc not so much.

Apple Fitness Plus sucks. Apple is more concerned about selling Apple Music than creating good fitness content. Even in the yoga classes, music is blasting and the instructors and never shut up. It's a shame as the tech, especially the integration with the Apple Watch, is amazing.
