Well that was the best advert for a Hottop roaster Mr Vore, I was looking at going the popcorn route to get started but you have me thinking I should skip that step and get one of these. Thanks for a concise and enjoyable instructional and definitely unpretentious (a problem in the hipster dominated "speciality coffee" world now). Favourite part "You do gotta do"

Nice roast. I just graduated from a popcorn popper to a stir crazy / Turbo Oven also to allow down the roasting time. My friends aren't as generous as yours unfortunately. Hey, keep me in mind when you decide to upgrade. 😉

Im assuming this can be set to NOT burn and totally destroy your coffee?

What do people do for ventilation on these? I have another type of roaster that directs the smoke but since it's under cabinets, everything gets coated in a thick oil over time

I think some people rig up a vent hose off the rear. I roast outside or put it one the group in front of a large exhaust fan mounted near floor level in garage. They do produce a lot of smoke

I have been so curious about the + version or not. It could be helpful or drive me crazy !

I hear you! It can certainly be a fun or frustrating rabbit hole to go down.

@@samvore2963 yeah really ! You find using the hottop without artisan is good ? Just similar to other units that don’t have software ?
@samvore29633 жыл бұрын
@@randykirstuk8978 For me, coffee roasting without Artisan is fine because I still vary heat, air flow, temperature, and time without software and save it in memory if I want to.

@@samvore2963 ahhhh make notes and if it’s good save it 👍
