This brought back many good memories if coon hunting. I had 3 generations of good dogs. Went back to Deanwood drifter. I have a ruptured disc in my back and here in Ohio not much land left to coon hunt so my coon hunting days are over.

I met curt one time at a night hunt. He told me what my dog was doing and i used his advice over the next few months ... and sure enough he was right and then pup got lined out and was a good hound .

Thought about killing myself tonight. Watching Curt and listening to his story soothed my soul. He reminds me of my childhood and spending time with my uncles. I used to love to love to coon hunt and everything that went with it. I raised and hunted several pups in my younger days. I would love to meet Curt and talk coon hunting with him someday. I’m just a old redneck from southern Missouri and sometimes people for whatever reason connect. Thank you for this video. God bless you!

I had a old hide hound years ago . Man would thet old hound hunt coon . I dropped him in a few hunts . I was told by a guy one night .. that hound is made to hunt coon and get what he trees . . After 2 months of competition hunting him he wasnt the same coon Killing monster he was when I started. . I went back to hide hunting him .... took a while but he got lined out and got good again
