Same issue with my viral Shade in the dragon palette. I heard it works to scrape top layer off on the coral shade and it will work great.

Update: I received mine and thankfully the peach shade is smooth and silky. It applies light at first but it builds up fast for me and color is pretty! Not the same peach color I have in my collection from RMS blushes. Its very different tone. Relieved 😅

I agree w your assessment of the dragon palette. I was very disappointed. I am returning it. I could not get any payoff from the dragon palette. I should have gotten the evil eye one but I thought it was too similar to the elephant, which I already have.

My coral shade is the exact same, I have been using natural fiber and have had better luck picking it up but it is by no means the hourglass formula we love. Rest of the palette is good but contemplating if it’s really worth keeping

Other KZbinrs also had problems with the exact same shade in the dragon palette.

Maybe take a piece of tape over the blush to pull any hardpan or whatever and then it might work better.

There are many people mentioning that the coral blush in the dragon palette is very light. Maybe was intentional for fair skin or maybe there is really something wrong. I’m light not fair so I will pay attention to this color when I receive mine. Nevertheless I always found the marbled colors being drier and harder in general than the plain colors.

You look good in peach colors your lip color is pretty. I expected more from hourglass these are nothing new and exciting for $100.

Yes I think the Dragon palette is better for fair skin. Though if you use a light hand, the evil eye might work too.

Thank you for the warning of the peach shade in the Dragon palette being defective. I will take a look at mine closely when it comes because these are pricey for subpar quality. I customized mine with the lotus cover art. I didn't see any other youtube video I saw mention hard pan but one lady (Hans) was misding an entire blush shade in one palette! 😮

Thank you. You just sold me the Dragon-palette, love the colors. I got the Jellyfish last year, and hourglass is devine. I´ve heard from other beauty influencers that their blush in the palette has a texture, so it´s not just you.

I'm curious which Benefit mauve blush you were talking about? I couldn't catch the name, I'm always on the hunt for true mauve blush, as a very cool tone person I need this shade. And also a cool bronzer, I have a full size Hourglass diffused light bronzer and it's absolutely orange on my skin. I'm wondering if you have that one to compare to the bronzer in the dragon palette? I can't use a peachy gold highlighter (I'm surprised they'd put that in a fair/light palette with the propensity for many cool people), but it looks beautiful on you. So it comes down to the bronzer for me & determining how many shades I'll actually use. Thanks for sharing 🤍 Ps... I'm from Tampa but finally left for the mountains largely because of the heat 🥵 my DNA (UK & Poland) doesn't tolerate it well. 😊

It was Benefit Rockateur blush. I don’t think they make it anymore 😢 I do not have the hourglass bronzer to compare u fortunately but the coolest toned bronzers I have are Pat McGrath Nude Honey, Dibs Caramel Cappuccino and the new Dior double pans in 001 Diorissimo. I hope you love the mountains 😊

@@sashreport Thanks for the suggestions! I have the PM honey and overlooked the recent Dior. Is it matte or satin with a sheen? I like the Gucci #2 but only at the end of summer (it's dark) with a tiny sheen. I've come to the conclusion the reason traditional bronzers don't work is because my cool skin doesn't really naturally tan per se, but always has a bit of sunburn look (pink/reddish tint). Jones Road knocked it out of the park with Dusty Rose for cool people. I hope that helps someone else 🤍

The other youtuber named Amra got a dud dragon palette too. The peach fusion blush and bronzer were hard panned. I think she’s getting a replacement from hourglass. You should contact hourglass and address this issue. $90 bucks for a palette is a hefty price.
