I loved that the mini this year had everything - blush, bronzer, finishing and highlighter. Its the perfect size to travel with or to take in one's purse. I have the larger 6 pan palates from previous years and they are fine to use at home but I find they are a bit too big to take along.

So not about hourglass but I wanted to say thank you. You were on the money about the new IT cosmetics foundation. I did get the cool shade rather than the neutral, but in the light rather than fair as I have always done before. The change of tone and shade did it. I now have, after years of looking, an easy to apply, never fail foundation that matches my skin. I do not look grey when wearing it. It does not go into your pores or sit in lines. It’s foolproof to put on. 👍 THANK YOU for responding to my questions.

Being officially and hourglass junkie, my first thought to this videos was " Oh dear, here we go again! Another palette that I'm going to dream about until I finally buy it"! But, watching this video I realized that the sculpture palette would be too warm for my pale neutral to cool skin tone and I can go to bed tonight without thinking of how to budget for this until next month! I have had a recent splurge on HG, last week Luminous flush blush and this week Diffused light finishing powder (even though I just love MAC msf natural as a finishing powder, I just had to see what the hype was with the HG). I was torn between dim light and diffused light, I am very similar skin tone to you. The sales lady did try and convince me to buy a palette but I was highly focused and manage to leave with my mission of owning a HG finishing powder! I now have a HG bronzer, powder and blush in full sizes and colours I love and am finally happy. I will not sway to that part of Sephora again.....not for a while anyway!!

Love the mini. While the bronzer shade is to dark for my face, it looks great on my eyes! I don't own Ghost but I do have many full sizes of some older/newer of ambient lighting, bronzers and blushes. I ADORE Hourglass. Partly your fault, Gemma and @ellelearyartistry. :) Stay safe and well.

Hi Gemma thanks for swatching them out as many of the shades won't suit me tbh. I'm super fair and very cool toned - think Scottish extremely white with a strawberry tinge to my blonde hair (what Billy Connelly referred to as blue white lol). Many of the shades are too warm/bright for me. I think I'll get a finishing powder and one blush in mini sizes to try instead. I think it's good value if you'll use all the shades, but not just for a couple. I like mauve and rose toned blushes - peach/orange doesn't look good on me at all. Bronzers are a struggle anyway as I need something with a very cool or pink base eg Bobbi Brown Antigua. Best wishes.

the purpose of a finishing powder I think is to be used as a last step in makeup to blend all the products together really seamlessly and to bring back the glow that you may have lost because of setting powder x

Well, Gemma, I have no idea how you've managed still haven't hit pan in your Ghost pallette... but I have bought mine a year ago, used it every day and fist the bronzer was finished, then one of the blushes and so on. So, now I have the bright blush over, highlighter and a little bit of powders. I am thinking of buying a separate Hourglass bronzer because this is a product I used the most and for me Hourglass bronzers are the best. I just don't know which of Ambient Bronzers will be better for me (my skin tone is similar to yours). There are two for light skin tones: Nude one and Light one. Do you happen to know which one is better for fair skin tone? Maybe you swatched them in the store.. Thanks in advance and greetings from the Netherlands :)

I love the Ghost 6 pan. I even bought a backup. I mix that bronzer with Dim light to lighten it up. Love & use 100%. But.... I’m very fair & cool and will pass on this year’s palettes. Too dark, too warm for my liking. Likely to pull orange on me. I got the 4 pan Ghost cheek palette which was an orange toned mistake for me. One pink blush - the rest pull really orange. I learned from that mistake. I think I will pass on this year’s Hourglass palettes.

Thank you for the tip on mixing the bronzer with dim light. I am quite fair and found the bronzer a touch dark and dim light a little dark used alone as a finishing powder. Mixed together they are perfect. I also mix the dim light and diffused light together.

Have you tried Charlotte Tilbury or Tom Ford bronzers? And how do these bronzers compare to the Maybelline bronzer you recommended in previous videos? I go back and forth between adding to my HG collection, branching out to other high end brands, or trying the drugstore recommendations you’ve made.

Of course I'm going to watch your vid, regardless of product. I'm supporting you, not HourGlass. As much as I love their powders (they're gorgeous), I'm boycotting them. Should they become an inclusive brand, I'll definitely be buying from them. Unfortunately, they don't cater for darker skin tones, which I find offensive. This is just how I feel and I totally understand why people buy from HG. I'm not shaming anyone. I know everyone will love and enjoy this palette. 💗🌸🌸💗

Thank you for supporting me Chrissy. I do agree that with some of their products the shades are limited for people of colour, but typically that's only the foundation. All other products that I've seen are very inclusive, this product included. I feel like hourglass are venturing into the 21st century at last xxx

I have the ghost edit and I've hit pan on the highlight (almost fell over in shock when that happened) and I've got a good dip in the middle shade that I mix with the highlight. I've recently started using the bronzer mixed with the finishing powder above it but don't use the blushes. I do have mood exposure in a single though and I agree that blush is stunning...I also bought the ambient lighting palette to replace the ghost when I pan that top row. I'm undecided on the new one but it's likely a bit dark for me and I already have the blush 🤔

So in my last comment I said I didn’t need any HG palettes.... well I lied, I didn’t need the new one but I did need the ghost palette, and in the deep dark corners of the Internet there were three palettes available in Thailand, now there are two...! Gemma please NO MORE Hourglass videos for a while :) Love it by the way, but the challenge is finding the right brush now to fit in the palette and still be fluffy. I thought the IT cosmetic double ended brush would be perfect but I think it’s too dense, this palette needs a very light hand!! My feeling is the good old RT blush brush may be the one!
