So glad to have your review before I purchase. I was interested originally in Dahlia but much different in person than what it appears online. Lipstick shades are always the hardest to buy online. However, now I've seen that Larch on you and love that! Exact kind of color I'd love! Thanks lovely!

I honestly think they are very similar to the Merit lipsticks. These are a little bit more opaque and more pigmented but they feel similar on the lips.

Another reason to choose Hourglass over Chanel: lack of fragrance? Luxury can be heavily perfumed for those of us with sensitivities / migraines so I will def be putting Oasis on my wishlist. It looks like my fav CT Very Victoria? Each one is lovely on you, but Dahlia is like a deeper version of your own rosy lips🌹So jealous! If my lips were that pigmented I would nothing but gloss 💋😘

Does Larch compare to Bobbi Brown shade Telluride? I love it but I'm always buying colors that are like .001 difference. Also, did you detect any fragrance? I cannot tolerate lipstick that tastes like a sachet

I haven’t tried that Bobbi Brown shade. There is the SLIGHTEST Vanilla scent, but really really faint. Didn’t notice it until I intentionally smelled it

These are very interesting and the price, considering it's Hourglass, is quite reasonable 🤔 Will I be getting any? Honestly, I don't know. I've been wearing liner with lip glosses and I'm more than happy with the results. I don't have plump lips, so some (a lot) of lipsticks can make my lips look even thinner!! I bought the shade Sahara which is described as a warm sienna and it’s orange. It doesn’t look anything like the photo on Sephora. I find the packaging annoying because you have to line it up exactly right and it doesn’t feel luxurious to me because there’s no weight to it. The formula is nice though, I just won’t be purchasing anymore until I can swatch them in store.

I agree with what you’re saying. The packaging is a puzzle, it’s lightweight and feeling like a cheap lipstick. However I love the smoothness of the formula and the fact that there isn’t a heavy scent/perfume to them. Sephora’s swatches look weird, they are not accurate, I noticed that as well.

@@TaniaBWells I think I thought Sahara might be more like how Shore looked on you. I was hoping warm sierra was more like a terracotta color or brownish orange cinnamon. But on me it’s pretty orange. I used a brown lip liner and made it more to my liking today. 😊

Can anyone recommend a lipstick formula that leans a tab more shine than satin. I find cream /satin formulas still feel too dry and matte for my preference. Shiny formulas are too sheer and balmy. I have a long time discontinued TooFaced La Creme lipstick that is close to being used up and i have been searching for a dupe , but can't find one. Its the perfect in between cream satin and balmy lipstick
