Are there any '80s kids here who remember going into Blockbuster's videos and being scared by the horror section and all of the scary VHS covers? I remember this one had a dismembered hand pressing a doorbell.

I love these old 80's movies, they are so nostalgic and they bring back such fond memories of a simpler time being a kid without a care in the world. Sometimes I wish I could go back and just spend a day or two being a kid soaking up the sunshine hanging out with friends and fishing for Bass in the canals and enjoying the lazy days of summer.

My heart just ached reading this. I miss my childhood so so much every day. I was lucky to have had an idyllic youth and I am finding adulthood hard.. I have had a lot of bad luck, death, illness and hardship in my adult years so far. I’m trying to be strong and I know I’ll get through it, but my lovely child years are always there in my mind…it kinda haunts me now in a way. I’m moving soon and hope it’ll be a new start.

We used to have a "video man" come round every Friday and Saturday night, renting videos from the back his estate car. Me and my father would choose a film for that night and Saturday night for the family to watch. We were a very unconventional family, didn't often eat dinner together or anything like that but every Friday and Saturday night, we all watched a film on video together. Amazing times ❤
