Are there any '80s kids here who remember going into Blockbuster's videos and being scared by the horror section and all of the scary VHS covers? I remember this one had a dismembered hand pressing a doorbell.

I love these old 80's movies, they are so nostalgic and they bring back such fond memories of a simpler time being a kid without a care in the world. Sometimes I wish I could go back and just spend a day or two being a kid soaking up the sunshine hanging out with friends and fishing for Bass in the canals and enjoying the lazy days of summer.

My heart just ached reading this. I miss my childhood so so much every day. I was lucky to have had an idyllic youth and I am finding adulthood hard.. I have had a lot of bad luck, death, illness and hardship in my adult years so far. I’m trying to be strong and I know I’ll get through it, but my lovely child years are always there in my mind…it kinda haunts me now in a way. I’m moving soon and hope it’ll be a new start.

I saw this with my dad when I was little, he was a Vietnam vet wich gave him a completely different understanding of the characters, but what I remember most is watching this awsome scary movie over and over again with my dad. So a few years ago I tracked it down and bought it on dvd and I have to say it is still just as awsome as when I was little.

We used to have a "video man" come round every Friday and Saturday night, renting videos from the back his estate car. Me and my father would choose a film for that night and Saturday night for the family to watch. We were a very unconventional family, didn't often eat dinner together or anything like that but every Friday and Saturday night, we all watched a film on video together. Amazing times ❤

Just watched House 2 today. First time seeing it. Loved the original and the second one is so out there that i couldnt help but like it. If you watch it just prepare to constantly ask yourself "wtf is going on lol"

Way the 80s movies stick in people's minds proved they were scary and good back in the 80s and all practical FX no CG helped as everything was there.. some of the things in house still spring to mind as soon as you think of it... like the kid falls into the pool... and is just gone. And the bathroom

It's funny how this trailer makes House look like a straight up Horror movie when it is really a Horror Comedy. I watched this movie a couple of days ago and couldn't help but laugh at so many moments but also notice how it has elements that were something from the Evil Dead movies.

I'm a 90s kid but I saw this in the early 2000s when I was a toddler, and have rewatched it over the years. Man is this movie scary. It's also freaking hilarious. It's the kind of movie I'd describe as so scary its funny, kinda like Evil Dead.
