I accept your critique in good faith because I know I said somethings that can be triggering but, I’d like you to pay attention to my words, I personalized the experience. With that being said, I am not trying to mislead anybody, I spoke about my own experience as a person. I have never been to another African country before now so somethings I experienced I only expect from the western world because of their history. I understand how I may have sounded oblivious to the fact that all African countries act the same including Nigeria. It’ll be nice for an apartment that cost 3million a year to have a toilet(s) and kitchen inside the apartment tho, peace and love 🫶🏽.

It depends on the house mama!! In Rwanda if you want a beautiful house with all those things, you have to rent a good house not just a ghetto!!

Thanks for sharing - I found apartment hunting in Rwanda challenging as well, but mostly because I had very specific requirements - like needing screens on windows and doors (because bugs NEED to stay OUT!) and needing the shower to be partitioned from the rest of the bathroom. Lol.

@@writingdiasporan right! I fight with flies everyday and mosquitoes at night 😩. Asides the bugs a cat almost entered my room the other night. I’ll definitely be looking out for houses with screens next time. I’ve accepted the bathroom situation at this point 😅

@@ireneoa Lol! Sorry. I remember in one of my earlier Airbnb, I was in the kitchen and sensed movement from the corner of my eyes. Turns out the neighbourhood cat had snuck into the house.

About English, you have to find someone, who knows English, and make him/her your friend so that he can help you during communicating. If not, it won't be easy for you

If u want a better house with all the households u claim u want to find in the house. U must be willing to pay above 250 and also stop acting as if some things are new to u. Most african countries if they see u are not from their hometown ofcz they will wnat to make extra cash from u.. One last thing,,, like i told u, Don't say that we build our house without putting things inside.. Madam not all people build without those kitchen space or things u are saying.. Did u see all the houses in the country for u to conclude that??? Some people u na to do ohh. Like i told u, if u want doi things u have to be willing to spend. 250k is nothing compared to what u want oky. Stop giving people bad impression about our country.

You sound antagonistic Sandra, all she did was document her experiences house hunting. Why would I come to an agreement only for it to be changed at the point of implementing without prior notice? Is that honorable? If I hit at mud with a stick and the mud splashes on you, cleanse the stains and move on. Cheers!
