I think you have a wonderful, spacious home. If and when you decide on any updates, that’s your choice. I definitely would not change the bathrooms. A lot of house and yard. Love it all!

That house is absolutely awesome. Love the beautiful brick work, fig trees, yard and workshop (I am a maker too, so that is a breathing bonus to a home). The interior and inside of the house in general is Fantastic. You definitely made an intelligent purchase. Congratulations on your new 🏡 home. A dog found me three days after moving in. He scared the daylights out of me after I locked my front door, he was sitting on my front porch staring at me. He has been with me ever since. He is a black mouth cur.

That is a LOT of house! If HGTV is telling the truth, Laurel is a great place to live and participate in the community. If they’re exaggerating, you still have a great house, with enough land and distance from the town centre, and will still be in a nice place to live. 🇨🇦

Even as a summer kitchen if you don't can. Or extra cooking space on holidays. It also looks like you could set up a suite for parents or adult children that may be saving for house to buy...the down payments now cost more than our first house back in the day.

I was born in Cincinnati, but grew up in Southern California. I have no family here, I have awesome neighbors. It gives my family a place to go to. I go back every few months.

We are planning to move from Florida in a year or 2. Looking at Laurel. I can buy 3 houses there for what mine is worth here and insurance/prop taxes are going up like crazy. Need to get away from the coast.

The surrounding cities are cheaper to buy in. It all depends how close you want to live to Laurel. Also keep in mind if you live in the city of Laurel, plan on paying 8% city property tax.

We just want a quiet walkable neighborhood. We've been to Laurel. I've seen some nice smaller homes on Zillow. We are pretty much over large houses. As far as taxes, we will need to pay state taxes also. 🙄

Come for as long as you can and drive around for a bit. Learn the area. I wanted to live in the country, so I stayed away from looking there. Also, if you live in the city part you pay an 8% property city tax.

Laurel is a great place to live. I have the best neighbors. They helped me move in. I am central to lot of stuff. They town has most everything you need. Hattiesburg is south about 45 minutes has everything else. We have a nice medical center. If you hunt and fish this is the place to do it. The people are nice to everyone. Don’t believe Ben and Erin, they have their own agenda. Come see for yourself. I spent a week looking it over before I decided to move here. I live in the country part 20 minutes from town.

I paid $170,000 cash a year ago. Prices may have changed. Also prices in the city differ then in the country side. Also look at Waynesbro.

I came here in March of 2021 for a week. Drove all over figured where I did not want to live. I saw areas that I did like and went from there. I looked on realtor.com and when this came I the market I bought that day. So be prepared to buy right away because the market is still hot. If you are handy and don't mind a fixer upper you can get a great deal if you hunt.

Consider the Carolina’s too. Look at the Greenville, SC / Shelby NC area. Or eastern NC. Not as hot
