I love it when a show's narrative "breaks away" from its creator and drives an unanticipated response from its viewers. Like Heisenberg in Breaking Bad, viewers are supposed to dislike Frank Underwood for his nefarious ways but, instead, we love him for it. It doesn't say much for our collective morals but it sure is fun to cheer for the Anti-Hero.

It won't. Even jail sentence won't hurt Spacey's legacy because it doesn't matter what critics say or don't say. Only viewers matter. Now it seems more and more unlikely he will ever legally "pay" for his "sins" in one way or another. We have dismissal after dismissal after dismissal and accuser after accuser after accuser after accuser (...) who just drops the ball. It's the line of case-law already. I kinda hope Rapp's claims as the only plaintiff would go forward because Spacey is obviously planning to "outnumber" him with his witnesses (he has at least 6 already). It's gonna to be fun even if Spacey finally loses. And we must admit it - THAT is what people want to see. No justice because no trial could possibly be fair and no jury could possibly be fully impartial at this point. But during the trial people would learn what Spacey really "did" to Anthony Rapp and the answer would be baffling for many. Because it's really a scene from "American Beauty" - nothing happened in the end ;-) The charges are so far from rape charges as they could be...
