A criminally underrated band. I started listening to them in 1990---haha during the 1990 World Cup I listened to THOL constantly so whenever a World Cup occurs every four years I'll think about THOL at some point. They had a lot of good songs.

Saw them last week in Los Angeles. Waited 30 years. I honestly think the crowd needed Guy to see the love from them as much as we needed to see the band. Come back soon.

@AJtheory Usually you can expect a bunhc of groups with a smilar sounds. But I could not think of anyone else who sounded liek house of love. They were played a lot one sumer. I then went to camp came back and the radio seemed to have dumped them. In the next 20+ years I maybe heard the song once. But Yeah. I think the Church has a certain similar style.

Guy sings about another band (Television) and the latest Bob Dylan album ( Oh Mercy) released during 1989’s hot summer. No 41 was a most disappointing chart placing. East 17’s subsequent 1992 tribute to the band was a welcome surprise. Brian Mortimer loved Babe Rainbow.
