The title "queen who never was" is not means as an insult, especially not from the Baratheon cousin at this point in time. It is a show of support, telling her (and everyone else) that she would have been a good queen in his eyes. This was why Hightower said that the king could have his tongue removed for saying it.

The mother was dying no matter what because the baby wouldn't come out.. save baby or lose both... the issue waa that he didn't tell her and give her the choice to both die or let them save that baby... even though she would have let them save that baby.

This series for the most part is pretty accurate to the book Fire & Blood... which I love . Reading it right now for the 2nd time. The biggest difference I'd say is in the book Rhaenyra Targaryen is 7yrs old when Viserys becomes King. Alicent Hightower's age is accurate. Alicent looked at Rhaenyra as more of a mother figure in the book, not sister

if "in the book rhaenyra targaryen is 7yrs old when viserys becomes king" that means after 9 years (ie 1st episode after prologue) she should 16 by time of this episode , and she is 15 years old in show this episode. so its actually alicent's age that is different, since she is older on book instead of being same age . .

I don't wanna give spoilers but she was that age when King Viserys takes his new wife. The book doesn't time jump like the show. Hell King Viserys was only 26 when he was named King. In the show he looks 46

If you notice in the scene with daemon. He never said those words "heir for a day " .. only Otto said them to the king... he also didn't admit or deny it... 🤔
