When Viserys refuses any help reaching the throne, then Daemon comes to his side, you can see that there is love there. I heard that his crown falling off wasn't supposed to happen, but Matt Smith just went with it and it made the scene so much better. This is my favorite episode hands down.

The Aegon Viserys was talking about as he was dying was Aegon the Conqueror. He was the one whose dream was the song of ice and fire which prophesied the prince that was promised. So Viserys, thinking he was still having the conversation with Rhaenyra from before about whether he believes the prophecy and wanted her to ascend to the throne, was basically saying, "yes Rhaenyra, I believe the prophecy and I believe you are the one destined to bring the realm together so you must sit the throne." What Alicent, without the context that Viserys was previously talking to Rhaenyra and thinks he's talking to her now AND with no knowledge of Aegon the Conqueror's dream/prophecy, heard was "you know Aegon? Our kid Aegon, the prince? I believe he will be a great ruler who will unite the realm, so he should be king. Make it happen." Classic fun Three's Company-style misunderstanding that I'm sure won't have serious ramifications across Westeros.

I loved this episode. Prime GOT universe. Cry everytime viserys walks to defend his daughter. And fun fact… at the end of this episode, paddy the actor who plays king viserys, that’s the real sound of him breathing. His breathing was so labored he went unconscious and an ambulance came and got him. Not that’s really giving your all!!

This is definitely the best episode of the season! The twins are Baela & Rhaena & Rhaenyra’s sons are Jace (Jacerys) & Luke (Lucerys). Those Valyrian 2nd sons be wildling Daemon, Vaemond, & Aemond! Viserys coming into the throne room to defend his daughter & heir is iconic! RIP king Viserys the peaceful! We shall never see his like again! Alicent know damn well Viserys didn’t want Aegon as his heir. This was my favorite episode of the season. It's so sad that alicent and rhaenyra's children are enemies, rhaenyra and alicent made piece with one another but it doesn't matter because their children hate each other so there's no way that they could survive together, it's too late for that.

I did notice that everyone was trying to be friendly though except Allicent's sons. Aegon was trying to goad Jace into a fight, and Aemond won't let the eye incident go. He won himself a giant dragon and his arrogance went into overload. Anyone else notice that Daemon's daughters seemed awful pleased with the betrothal announcements. I have to say I feel sorry for Rheanyra's 3 oldest sons. Its not their fault who their father is yet they are having to suffer for it.

"You must do this..." Fun fact, Dany is descended from Rhaenyra's line... If you recall from GOT, Missandei corrects Dany in the Valeryon prophecy translation. "That noun has no gender in high Valeryon", so it is actually the prince or princess that is promised, not necessarily the prince.

This was my favorite episode just for the little moments and viserys acting. Paddy Consadine did a great job of displaying this tragic character. I love how daemon was excited finding the dragon eggs and my beautiful pregnant Rhaenyra just looked absolutely ethereal she looked so better knowing she was away from all that toxic energy in KL. Introducing little Aegon and little Viserys was so pure. Daemon stood on his business lol and used dark sister with the quickness. Helena and jace dancing probably gave Helena just a little bit of happiness it’s evident how different these children were raised. Rip Viserys if only he just went quietly into the night but there was gonna be drama regardless after his death one dinner was not gonna fix everything. Not that it really matters but I’m still debating if Alicent just misunderstood Viserys or if she just heard what she wanted to hear 👀

So much of this could have been avoided had daemon and rhanerya insisted that viserys name daemon as his hand so that way Otto wouldn’t have so much power and influence when viserys finally died, it was a big mistake not to do that and for daemon and them to go back to dragon stone and just hope/assume that the Hightower’s will just hand over the throne

I loved Viserys. However, I'm not sure he would've had the same energy if Rhaenyra was a son. I state this because I don't think Viserys was a fool about Rhaenyra's first 3 boys, but because they came from his daughter, that's all that mattered. But if this was a son/heir with questions of paternity, I wonder how he would've responded to matters of succession for grandchildren that clearly weren't his. 🤔 Just a thought, but I still love how Viserys defended his baby girl.

The mother of Jaehaerys and Alyssane was Alyssa Velaryon who married the only son of Aegon I The Conqueror Targaryen and Queen Rhaenys Targaryen who was Aenys I Targaryen. The mother of Aegon I and Visenya and Rhaenys was also a Velaryon. Vaemond should have studied the family better instead of making accusations against Rhaenyra and saying that she does not know Velaryon blood when in fact Rhaenyra has Targaryen blood as well as Velaryon blood.

I think this is my favourite episode of the season (tough to say, because I love 8, 9 & 10 pretty equally but that throne room scene is fire). It's so deliciously complicated. Everybody is partially right and partially wrong here, and everybody takes a piece of the blame - except for the kids. Now the kids are taking on their parent's beef and starting their own shit. MESS! I especially go back and forth on Vaemond. He's a proud man and has no taste for the bullshit, and he isn't wrong in his argument. But Corlys isn't even dead yet and he's swooping in to change his brother's will. And his argument falls apart when the kids get betrothed, since the girls ARE his kin. Plus, everybody overlooks this part but if Rhae's boys are acknowledged as bastards they could all literally lose their lives just for being royal bastards. So I get Vaemond's plight but I still don't agree with his ambition being so heedless. It's not the boys fault they weren't fathered by Laenor. I love Rhaenyra to death, and she is my queen but she really messed up with Harwin.

I am wondering if those three eggs that Daemon dug up that Rhaenrya's Dragon Syrax laid is foreshadowing? I am starting to wonder if those are the three eggs Daenaerys will receive in the future. I mean one of Daenarys Dragons Viserys was Golden in color and so was Syrax. It's starting to make me think especially they made it seam those three eggs were special. If it becomes true then who could have been the father? Was it Daemons Dragon Caraxes or was it Vermithor? I'm leaning on to Vermithor since Daemons dragon was shaped weird. I hope I'm not over thinking this. I'm feeling it though 😁

its been 6 years since the last ep and rhaenyra never saw or visited her father when he was sick and in pain but only did when she was at need of him meanwhile alicent was spending her time taking care of viserys, keep in mind that now jace is the same age as rhaenyra in ep1 yet rhaenyra was speaking high valyrian fluently at that young age unlike jace and that shows how jace is struggling to be a true targaryen, at 7:23 rhaenyra binds the questioning of her son legitimacy to her own claim to the throne which means that she lost her inheritance by her pushing bastards to the line of succession as heirs to power seats which breaks the same very law that allows viserys to name her heir and it is punishable by death or exile or disinheriting and she is afraid that vaemond claim to driftmark seat might endanger her claim to the throne and her sons lives, rhaenyra naming her son aegon shows her ignoring the existence of her brother and all alicent kids as part of the family and not to mention that she called them vibers here 8:01, the way jace said (it does not matter what they think) at 19:27 which is dangerous mindset for someone to be king that ignores others complains and opinions and see himself as the only right and others are lower which is how rhaenyra raised him, also aegon shows himself as unworthy to rule and lazy and drunken and immoral yet the rape scene was not in the book but only showcanon, vaemond cause was honorable but insulting rhaenyra and the king was not wise, he said it out loud 😂
