I mean, she never actually cared about the words. She had been moving to usurp from the moment she wore the green dress and spared Cole. She had Lyonel killed so Otto could come back and help (plausible deniability but she had to know he would never quit being Hand as long as he breathed). She also tried to disinherit Lucerys. Those words were just her justification. And even without the conqueror, Rhaenyra has a son called Aegon so Hell, between the conqueror and Aegon II, there were another three Aegons, one being Viserys’ brother who died as an infant.

In the books, he was slain by his lover due to jealousy, it was then implied that he was slain on behalf of Daemon. In the show they wanted to let him go and live a life of peace away from pressure at least for a few years.....Now it's implied he's passed, either illness or otherwise. He was always going to die for seasmoke to be riderless.......he just didn't need to die at that moment and they didn't want the terms of the wedding between Daemon and Rhaenyra to be vicious and cruel.....all in all, unnecessary but acceptable.

She wasnt a lady in waiting, just a nurse maid for the kids (ladies in waiting are always noble. Elinda Massey, for instance, is Rhaenyra’s). You can see how all the maids flinched when Aegon was looking for Jaehaerys in the first episode. They all fear and hate him. The actress for Dyanna, the maid, was 15 filming s1 too, and is 17 now. I hate they brought her back to be harassed.

It doesn't matter if Alicent misunderstood Viserys' last words, the council and Otto were already planning to put Aegon on the throne. If Alicent tried to remove Aegon from the throne it would be treason, and she could be beheaded by Aegons' order. She can't do anything at all, the wheels are already in motion. But knowing Viserys always wanted Rhaenyra on the throne will definitely play a role in her state of mind, imho. The woman serving the men on the pub was the maid that was assaulted on season 1 episode 8 by Aegon and to whom Alicent gave money and the plan b tea. The titles at the begining are changing episode by episode by adding new details, this week they added the child's beheading and the rat catchers being hanged.

it could be rumors, at least the extension of her powers. For instance, no one knows her age, but she is at least 45 although looks a bit younger. She is said to be able to entice men, which is what she uses to survive all the raids against Harrenhal. She is unable to entice Daemon though. But she manages to entice Aemond and perhaps even Cole. There’s no confirmation she truly is a witch, or if she just uses Harrenhal in her favor and do some rituals. She is a wet nurse, which means she’s been pregnant, but she has no children. I like the theory she offers them as sacrifices for power/youth. As for seeing the future in the flames, there’s two options: either she does see it and wants God’s Eye to happen, perhaps to avenge the people she lost. Or she just heard that Daemon was there, considering he waited two weeks and let everyone know what he wanted. And counted on him to do the job.

I’m not sure if you guys are aware of this, but in the books, House Tully is named after the Muppets. The show already mentioned Lord Grover Tully who is still alive at this time but he has a son named Elmo and two grandsons named Kermit and Oscar. Kermit and Oscar Tully are very important figures for Rhaenyra’s side during the civil war. I don’t know how the show will introduce them but I imagine we will be meeting those characters soon enough. Also House Blackwood is pretty important to the war as well, their Lord, the very young 11 year old Benjicot Blackwood won quite a few key battles. I don’t know how the show will present the Houses Tully and Blackwood characters but I hope we get to see them soon.

I mean whether alicent was mistaken or not, the council already had plans to crown aegon, so it’s really not her fault, and even if she was on board with rhaenyra at this point, she ultimately has no power over anything anymore. Aegon is the king at this point and he’s the one with the dragon. Things are too far progressed on both sides with the death of jaehaerys and Luke, and neither alicent or rhaenyra would be willing to give up Daemon or aemond, respectively. Alicent is right, it’s too late.

Their feud exist since the Age of Heroes, continues till GoT times and will probably go on forever hahah Harrenhal is the largest castle in Westeros and was finished right when Aegon landed in the continent to conquer. Harren, the Black during the war hid in his castle imagining he and his sons would be safe from Balerion and Aegon. He wasn't counting that dragonfire can melt even stone, so they all basically were buried in the melted castle. Since then there has been rumors that the castle is haunted, someone even said that when the Strongs died there last season. We have also seen it in the first scene of the show, on the Great Council of 101. Just so you know, this is not the first time we saw Gwayne Hightower. In the first episode of the series, on the tournament, Daemon chooses him as opponent to provoke Otto, as this is his heir. Great video as always, keep up the good work, guys 🙂

the "your grace" thing is tricky. in our world, the husband of the reigning Queen usually takes the title of Prince Consort instead of King Consort and thus would remain "my Prince", this is due to the connotations that have been placed to the title King Consort having been upheld by the patriarchy. People would hear only the "KING" in "King Consort" and think he ranks above the actual ruler, the Queen TL;DR: Daemon, for simplicity's sake, should have become Prince Consort and referred to by "my Prince"

Otto wouldn't care whether Vyserys meant Aegon the Conqueror or not, he already had the plan in motion to take over once he died. Alicent's declaration was just a convenient icing on the cake. Alicent cannot stop it at this point. Also the taking of the Throne by Aegon was going to happen regardless so Aegon has a load of support all over the realm. Alicent however has everyday less and less power and im sure she will try to have some sort of end but by the end of episode 4 something will happened that will cross the point of no return for both sides.

They didn't listen to Otto but somehow people think Alicent has the power to stop the war. Rhaenyra barely has the respect of her war council but you guys think Alicent alone can stop the war and get Aegon to step down. If she did try to I don't think Aegon would have her killed but he would just dismiss her from his court as he did Otto. And the idea that Alicent could just open the gates to King's Landing and let Team Black enter, that would be codemning her children to death. Just like when the Mad King fell, and the Lannisters took over King's landing, they butchered all the remaining targaryen children. Expecting Alicent to put Rhaenyra over her children's lives is just unrealistic. While I don't think Rhaenyra would want to kill Alicent's children, there is no doubt Daemon & other members of team black would. So she's right in saying its too late.

Allisan can't change anything anymore, even if she wanted to. She does not have the influence and power to do so (If it were different, she would try it, I'm sure, because she is someone who repents). That's why it's too late. Against all the haters (including the king of ignorance Blake) here, it was made very clear again that Alisant put her son on the throne out of conviction and not because she heard what she wanted to hear. She did not know the story of ice and fire and therefore had no other reference to the name Aegon than her son. Now there is no way back. Her son will not let the crown be taken away from him and his subordinates will not allow that. She can't do anything. In addition, it was made very clear in the last episode that Alisant's sons no longer listen to her thanks to Otto. This was literally the topic of the conversation between Alisant and Otto. Btw Alisant lets her friend go. The war could have ended right here in Hightower's favor. Seasmoke is restless because his owner is still alive and unreachable for him. The bond between dragon and rider lasts until the rider dies. And as far as I know, the dragon does not accept a new rider for so long. If you give such hints that actually don't contribute anything to the story, you can assume that someone believed dead will soon become a topic again, maybe even come back.
