Rhaenyra words were very well chosen tho ! She’s said ‘you’re trapped by the fired but the sea offers an escape’ daemon asked her what they’re going to do about Laenor and she said ‘I love him, I want to set him free’ and that’s what she did. She faked his death using the fire and freed him with the sea and that was a very meaningful moment in my opinion

But, you seem to be forgetting that there are THREE children who look nothing like Laenor and that’s a large part of what’s sticking in Alicent’s craw. Viserys may refuse to acknowledge his grandsons’ bastardy because he wouldn’t want to follow through with the consequences of having to have Rhaenyra and her kids killed or banished, but how did it get to the point where she has THREE bastards? It’s exactly what Alicent was saying in the last episode. Viserys has no control over Rhaenyra because, after Jace, he should have pulled her aside and said I’d better not see another dark-haired, fair-skinned kid from you and I mean it. But, he didn’t. So, she’s had three brunet sons in ten years. The more kids, the more obvious it is that they look nothing like their parents, especially Laenor. So, Viserys has had other options, this past decade, than sitting around passively on his one remaining hand and letting Rhaenyra do whatever she wanted.

Daemon did t laugh because to be disrespectful to his late wife. He laughed because Vaemond passive aggressively pointed out that rhaenyras children were illegitimate. Otto is now the hand again I almost missed it but it would make sense that allicent would bring her father back into the fold. Daemon is pissed and I don’t blame him. Lost his wife and after all these years after war and this stuff now you want me to come home? After the death of my wife only now you want me back. We see that everyone isn’t blind that those are not laenors children. Allicent in a way is somewhat guilty for strings death. Rhaenyra bout to give in to daemon again. Aegon got fucked up and it’s his own fault should have watched his mouth. Otto is proud bringing out that side of his daughter. Aemond is such a bitch bro he stole his cousins dragon. The absolute nerve on the day of the funeral? He can’t be serious. Fucking with me he would have got shanked for real for real. The day of the funeral too the body not even cold yet. He got some nerve. I don’t like that the king didn’t ask the girls what happened either. The only good person left is Laenor honestly. He s the one that fucked up everytime, calling his son the heir for a day, stealing his dragon egg, trying to get it on with rhaenyra so he marries her and becomes king consort. Helaena Targaryen can see the future (Raven/Dreamer?) I think, in the last episode when Alicent,Aemond and Helaena were together (after being teased with the pig) Alicent told Aemond that on day he would have a dragon and Helaena whispered while playing with the centipede, "he'll have to close an eye first." This episode Helaena referenced the coming war, "Hand turns loom (Otto/Lary's?), spool of green (Alicent), spool of black (Rhaenyra), dragons of flesh weaving dragons of thread (Dragons fighting in the sky maybe killing each other?). Ser Cristen Cole may not like Rhaenyra but even he just not whiling to cut out a child's eye. People say Lary's is creepy and you can't trust him but he's smart and rides firmly with team Alicent. Lary's is also showing growth cause he "ask" if she wanted the eye, old Lary's would have just went an got it thinking it would make her happy.🤣🤣 An to be fair to Aemond in that fight it was 4 on 1 when he grabbed that rock. Visery got the nerve to tell Daemon that his "daughter are the vary image of their mother" but can't see it in Rhaenyra children looking like Ser Strong.

Actually Vaemond was all about ambition since Rhaenys solved both issues with announcing and going with Rhaenyra's offer of bethrothal between her sons Luce and Jace with Baela & Rhaena, who are already close & happy with that deal. Laena's daughter (the one who doesnt have dragon) clearly didn't have what it took to claim Vhagar. Analyzing Vhagar's past riders, all of them were bold and were the type of people who would take the opportunity as soon as it presents itself. Aemond was right, she should have claimed Vhagar when she had the chance, but that's not her personality, and that's why Daemon is ignoring her. Daemon sensed the softness in that daughter.

I'm from the UK and it is common knowledge to us over here that the European Royalty intermarried - look at the English, French, German and Spanish Royals they are all relates and intermarried uncles marrying nieces, brothers and sisters etc. It went on for centuries, even the Queen was a blood relative of Prince Phillip. That is why the Queen had to let her children marry what they call "Commoners" i.e. non-royals. Even though Princess Diana was posh rich aristocracy she was not royal but if Charles married a member of European royalty he would be marrying a relative and the Queen needed to cut the incestuous stuff out as it is no longer palatable to the UK public and they need to keep their position secure. George RR Martin has said he based much of GOT and HOTD on European royalty the war of the roses, intermarriage/incest etc. So, what is being shown on HOTD is for real, the present European royalty is a product of it.

You don't have to like Alicent but this blind hate for her really needs to stop. She was pressured by her father and Viserys to marry, and her father was also the one telling her Rhaenyra would kill her children. Rhaenyra lied to her (on her mother's grave no less) and has been having affairs while Alicent is stuck with a decrepit old man being forced to push out babies. Also Alicent was horrified by what Larys did, because she wants to be righteous, but she's also started wanting more power to protect her family because of what Otto told her. She has trauma, she's also very religious with a strong sense of duty, and I think jealous as well of Rhaenyra's freedom. There are reasons why she is the way she is and people should understand that before just calling her a manipulative btch or whatever.

First, Daemon killed a servant or squire in the hall of High Tide (to provide the body), then Qarl and Laenor staged a noisy fight in front of a squire (who ran to get the guards). When the guards (presumably) and Corlys and poor Rhaenys came, there was a burned body in the fireplace, Qarl was gone, the body probably had some remnants of clothing or jewelry belonging to Laenor for identification. And Qarl and Laenor headed off together, leaving an innocent murder victim and Laenor's heartbroken parents and newlyweds Daemon & Rhaenyra and four confused children.

True enough. But I think the problem stems from timing. The Velaryons just lost their daughter who was a mother. Emotions are running high and Aemond chose to take Vhagar while the family was in mourning. Yes dragons aren't property and yes technically Vhagar was up for grabs. But there's this thing called courtesy. Like don't take a dragon that has sentimental value from a family grieving over a dead loved one.

Just another info for you guys, this isn't good vs bad but bad vs bad. You'll see Rhaenyra's dark side, mistake after mistake, probably you'll hate her switch to love her again hate her again.. Everyone has their point, has reasons, everyone can be right and wrong at the same time. I read the book, and this isn't a fairy tale I love to imagine. But at last.. with all of her flaws.. I LOVE RHAENYRA. I hope the show will do some changes because of the heartbreak is too much for my heart.
