Young Olivia Cook actually looks like young Alicent from the show! I didn’t see the resemblance that much at first between the two actresses to tell you the truth and was jolted by the time jump but now that I’ve seen how Olivia looked as a young woman, I totally get the casting choice. You are right that Philip was Prince Consort, not King Consort, But you make it sound like that's a general rule It is not. The husband of a ruling queen could become king consort the same way the wife of a ruling king becomes queen consort. How does this happen? The Parliament grants them the title, and then they get crowned. To be a king or a queen, of any kind, you need a coronation. The reason the English have never granted the husband of a ruling queen the title of a king is, well, patriarchy. Starting with Mary I, when he Parliament refused to grant her husband, the Spanish prince Philip (future king of Spain Philip II) the title of king, which displeased him and Mary), there has been fear that, since women were expected to obey their husbands, if the queen's husband got the tittle of king, he would be the one ruling instead of her. And they didn't want foreign princes to get that kind of power. It's actually similar with Prince Daemon in HotD. He is not actually King Consort, because he hasn't been given the title and crowned. (This never happens in the book, so it probably has not happened in the show either, which is why everyone on Dragonstone keeps calling Daemon Prince. Probably for the same reason - fear he would be seen as the one in charge over Rhaenyra. We know from the book that Helaena got crowned as Queen Consort as she gets crowned together with Aegon in the same ceremony and Alicent puts the crown on her head.) Daemon however thinks he should have the title, so he asks people in the Riverlands to call him King/Your Grace.
