Do people not listen? Cheese specifically asked Deamon for a contingency if they cannot find Aemond. And Daemon clearly told them that he wants "a son for a son" since Blood quotes him on that.

The reason that "Cheese" (the rat chatcher) takes the dog is that it's a normal part of his job (rat chatchers used trained dogs to find rats), so if he wants to look like he's just innocently going about his business, he needs to have the dog with him. When Daemon's hiring them, Cheese asks what they should do if they can't find Aemond. Daemon just smiles at him and then the scene cuts, without us hearing his answer. Later, in Helaena's room, "Blood" (the rogue Goldcloack) says, "he said a son for a son". We never heard Daemon say that, so it's reasonable to infer that he said it in response to Cheese's question. Jaeherys (the little boy they killed) isn't just any random kid, he's King Aegon's eldest son and the heir to the throne. Although killing him won't affect the military side of the war the way killing Aemond would have done, it still hurts the Greens emotionally just as much as, if not more than, Aemond killing Lucerys hurt the Blacks, so it's a "fitting" revenge.

It's pretty clear from Daemons reaction(especially after Lady Mysaria calling him out)that Daemon wants to hurt someone. ANYONE. It's especially sad because Aegon, while a bit naive(his ruling style from his choices when holding court) and unprepared, is not a bad king or a bad father(his attempts to include Jaehaerys in his council feels like him trying to do what Viserys never did). And people(Black Faction fans) can say "Aemond started it."but that little boy didn't understand treason and didn't deserve what happened.

Team Green is the moral choice because Aegon is the rightful heir, and because House of the Dragon is a Team Black propaganda show. The showrunners are making Team Black the good guys and Team Green the bad guys, rather than giving us a genuine, morally-grey conflict.

This reactor didnt give a fuck for the kid of the greens coz for her the only one that was a kid baby was lucerys. Lucerys is a teenager with a dragon and jaehaerys is almost a baby without possibilities to defend himself at all and sleeping, wtf, hell of a diference. Daemon and Rhaenyra should be 100% responsible for what their killers do.

I mostly blame Jaehaerys's death on Daemon more than Rhaenyra. She never wanted Jaehaerys to die, just Aemond.
