House appreciate in value whilst a car, any car, depreciate. However, many can't afford the home ownership and are now and still renting. Then there are those who can buy a reasonable car to get them from point A to point P, until the house or land can be purchase. Even land cost high.

I agree with his ideas. I also think Jamaica should make mutli family homes or units. For instance where a parent and kids could all have their own living space and maybe share a common area. Jamaica is not a mainland. This type of economy can be better successful splitting bills and living under one roof due to the high cost of living

Unfortunately the idea of rent to own will be highly unlikely because NHT is being used as the government back up fund. The harder it is for persons to be approve the easier it is for the government to use the money for what ever they want.

true just thinking of the concept that rent would become your new nht so formal personal sould have this deduction on their pay slip by fortnightly or weely 2years of 80k a month is approximately 2mill of contributions in which does prove that one has the ability to move forward into mortgage

Its like the ID has no bearings in proving your identity. This might be dumb, but if simple things like this can't be improved then how are things like the NHT issues get improvement.
