@charriemerriweather91622 жыл бұрын
I love this scene but I wouldn't say THE best. Definitely in my top 10 probably top 5 of best movie dance scenes ever. If you've never seen the Nicholas Brothers, a legendary tap dance duo of their time, perform a dance number in the movie Stormy Weather then it's worth the watch. You can Google just that scene. My mother was the reason I saw it and it is indescribably impressive. Especially since they were so in sync, going down steps, didn't fall or miss a beat, during the 40's and as I understand they did it in one take.

Born in 1976 lived in 80s grew up in the 90s and was a young man in the early 2000s. I swear If you were born between the years of 73-80, you experience probably the best years in sports, fashion, music, and the best TV sitcoms, Friday nights when you didn’t need technology to have fun. Family cook outs. When family still had the proper age hierarchy, meaning when grandmothers were grandmothers and uncles and aunts were uncle and aunts. When certain current social norms were not accepted. When comedy shows were Friday’s chill night. When Saturday morning cartoons and a bowl of your favorite cereal then going outside afterwards was normal. Walkie talkies, stick ball, knock ‘em out the box😂😂. Man O man it’s nothing like that decade. Big ups to the 60s and 70s but it would be hard pressed to try and find a better almost 20 year span then the 80s -99

They tore it up! That little move that AJ did at 1:41 is right on point and she is dancing to the beat of the song...very smooth. What AJ is doing at 1:41 to 1:43 is dancing to the beat of the music for those who twerk every day on every song no matter what the beat and who be off beat because they only know how to twerk.

I was 15 back when this came out, and I really wanted to be black (and preferably American) at the time... being a dorky ginger English kid, I was just about the opposite of the coolness I saw in black folks through the movies and music I was (and still am) into. Of course now I embrace who I am and can be a fan of black culture without trying to be something I'm not.
