Wow. I love that you have a regular plant collection. I have so much info to share with you, however I feel like people want to learn on their own. For the gnats; try removing the top 2-3” of the soil, add systemic or diatomaceous earth. I quarantine all for 3-4 was in plastic bags after cleaning leaves /spraying leaves and taking off the top layers of soil. Also try leaving your plants in the nursery pots that have drainage holes and using the outer pot just for decor. All your Calatheas need filtered water, they chemicals in the water destroys them. You can also use “stress coat”, that is used for aquariums, it takes out the chemicals. There are so many plants you could pick; my favorites are Dracaena’s because they are easy and pretty. Also the Croton needs to be outside, it’s just not an indoor plant. There’s so much to learn! Take your time on your journey. Welcome to plant parenthood .❤ I have over 150 that include some rare, many Hoya’s, Philodendron’s, Syngonium’s and Alocasia’s etc.

Your Croton might do well outside when it warms up. They like sun. I wouldn't put it directly in the sun 🌞 for a long time, but outside is a good place for it and that's how it gets all the pretty colors too. You can also give it more light while indoors. Maybe put it under a grow light if you want to.😊 I love ❤️ your plant collection 🌿💚🍃🌱🌵

Great collection! The plant you called dwarf jade is not the same plant as the the larger jade plant next to it. Lots of different types of plant are called jade plants so it does get confusing. What you called the dwarf jade is Elephant Bush (Portucalaria Afra) and the other one is Crassula Ovata. Both are succulents and from South Africa but are unrelated. I also love string of plants and as your bananas are doing so well I highly recommend you look out for string of dolphins, its a stunning plant!

@justjanel1 I'm loving the journey of learning that I've been on sunce getting into indoor plants! If you are really serious about wanting to try ANYTHING to beat the fungus gnats, nematodes are the only solution I've found. The idea of them creeped me out at first, but when I got desperate enough, I tried them - successfully!

Your Purple Heart need plenty of sunlight to stay that vibrant purple. When you grow them inside they turn green, so it needs sunlight and I water mines once a week and have some growing in water.

👍🏾 video. I do not have gnats bugs since I purchase a KATCHY Indoor Trap Catcher. Plug into socket and I move it around. From Amazon. June in the Junegle🪴

Add Mosquito Bits to your soil. I did that with the sticky traps and got rid of the gnats.

Hi Janel, I love your plant collection, I too had gnats really bad until someone told me about Arbor, I bought it at Walmart and it was $20 and you mix 5 table spoons per gallon and after 2 waterings I was gnat free and my plants were not harmed
