Sam Bishop hmmm I highly recommend you read fire and blood, not even 10% of them were mad, yes they practiced incest a lot but they also mixed with the Velaryons, Baratheons and other noble houses, some of them were great rulers my personal favorites were Jaehaerys and Alysanne

Sam Bishop lmao not even 5 % of all recorded Targaryens were/are considered mad. Aerys only went crazy after he was imprisoned, starved and (likely) tortured for 6 months. And while THERE IS a lot of incest, as in brother/sister and uncle/niece or aunt/nephew, it’s not all incest. Cousin/cousin isn’t considered incest by the westerosi. Even The Honourable House Stark (TM) have practiced uncle/niece incest twice in the latest two centuries lol, so it’s not just the Targaryens. Do your research lol

Their love is NOT forbidden. At least according to Valerian and Targaryen traditions. It is NORMAL. Martin describes that it was very common for VAlerians and Targaryens to marry within their own family to keep a pure blood line.

Lia Spring Starks also on occasion made closer than usual marriages, to keep the family united; Sansa’s namesake married her half-uncle, Jonnel Stark- obviously *several* cousin marriages of varying degrees also occurred- like Ned’s parents, as well as Karstarks (the cadet branch) marrying back in. Nobles & royals were protective of bloodlines & inheritances- I may not like Tywin, but he is right in one instance - the family is what endures. However, legacy is a challenging & complicated thing...

However, when you really think about it, Tywin was a bit of a hypocrite, saying how wrong it was of the true rumors about Jamie and Cersei have an incest relationship while he married his first cousin, which is incest as well.

I know it's been years but this just popped in my recommendations, probably because the amount of House of the Dragon content. I like your cast for Daemon as Malfoy actor looks gloomy and dark and it fits Daemon. I like also Visenya, as she was the warrior not just a dragon rider, she wielded Dark Sister too and saved Aegon many times from assasins. Rheanys on the other hand was not a warrior, enjoyed music and arts
