Great apartment, use of space. Don't like some of the negative comments below. Homeworthy showcases different styles and budgets, it isn't suposed to be focused on multi million pound homes, great style doesn't automatically equate to lots of money. Loved this episode, as much as the others.

I'm surprised by the amount of negative comments - this is my favorite Homeworthy tour in a while. Is her design style perfectly executed ? No, but it's way more interesting than other homes that are 'perfect' in a technical sense (and verging on stuffy imo). Could it be more edited? Sure, so could many other homes. I wouldn't describe her house as cluttered - she collects, and not indiscriminately, but with a point of view. There is a difference.

The childhood bedroom ceiling light that reflects a soft design is beautiful in the foyer. I love that Alex's mother framed her wall pictures and her grandmother covered her kitchen cushions. Nice that Alex and her boyfriend are so comfortable with each other's stuff. I very much love the cowboy painting.

A maximalist style is all about mixing colors, textures, patterns and styles. This apartment doesn’t give maximalist, gives garage sale, she needs to learn editing , placement, contrast, lighting, color theory, proportion, perspective and layering. She’s young, has time and hopefully enough humility to learn.

Really fun,fun functional, not overdone at all, it really sings style, and New York! Great use of every bit of space. One of the best small New York apts. I have seen. I must have a Mansion at 1,300 sq.ft. 2 bdrms and 2 full baths! Lol,and I thought my place was small. By the way, I am also a maximumist,using shelf's and every bit of my space for decor. Hi. This is a lovely apartment, because it is set up beautifully, for comfort and personal appeal. I have trouble with all Interior designers, who mix so much in their apartments. That do not actually have design appeal. It is actually, a little of this and that, that is actually, their personal design style, that interior designers work wirh on a daily work basis. I think this unique and represents them, as THE INTERIOR DESIGNERS. I THINK THIS IS EXCELLENT. THANKY.

Did anyone catch where she got the cool convex mirror in the front hall? I played it over and over and even turned on captions which said "childhood home" but I think she said something else. I totally get wanting to have your favorite things around you and when you have a lot of them (I DO!) and live in a small space (I DO!) it's not easy. I am constantly moving things around and giving myself more space a bit at a time. But I still want that mirror!! 😏

I listened intently for the source of that mirror too, and even slowed the speed trying to catch it. My guess is that Homeworthy purposely edited out the source or store where she bought it so as not to give it free advertising. With that said, maybe give Amazon, Etsy, or 1st Dibs a shot in finding a convex mirror like it (although for the latter two you can be sure a similar mirror will cost A LOT). With all due respect, it was difficult to listen to her vocal fry way of speaking. Also, I’ve seen beautiful, eclectic style in other episodes, but it’s too much here and overwhelming. I learned a long time ago, that it’s fine to have art on the walls and decor, but the eye has to rest on empty space also. You have to have some empty space together with nice decor to create a beautiful yet peaceful environment.

While I appreciate that she's created a cozy apartment that reflects who she is, and as a maximilist myself, I do like some of the esthetic. Some areas are just far too messy in my opinion. AIso I don't get showing the viewer shot glasses etc. This feels very much like a KZbin Influencer "apartment tour" which we've seen 900 times before. This isn't really a design style, many people's apartments look like this. I suppose she's convinced clients she's an interior designer with her vocal fryyyy and name dropping various artists etc.

I think Homeworthy is trying to showcase many different types of designs to attract and hold on to a large audience. There have been a lot of negative comments regarding the apt decor. This apartment is not my taste , so l just stopped watching. I am certainly not going to keep watching so that l can trash the apartment or the young lady .
